L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Because Cueto shouldn't cost the farm. Cueto is a FA, and this team needs to add pitching. Either AA sits on his thumb and watches this thing go up in flames, or he makes a move. There is almost no way to argue this team is playoff caliber as is. I'm really bad at gauging trade value with prospects, so I won't even venture a guess.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Gonna watch Bartolo Colon doing amazing things against the Brewers. Going for 7th straight walkless start
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 If the Pirates don't score any runs in the top of the 12, I'm calling a Bryant walk-off bomb.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 If the Pirates don't score any runs in the top of the 12, I'm calling a Bryant walk-off bomb. We'll see. E-Jax is pitching the 12th..and other innings after that until his arm falls off, especially with Coke being unreliable. And I don't think David Ross is available to pitch due to an injury..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Radhames Liz alert coming for the 12th.. Worley's PHing for Melancon. And no score in that inning. Maybe we'll get that Bryant walkoff..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Walk off by Matt Scuzur, as the Cubs win.
Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 What a weird ending. Polanco just falls down fielding a routine shallow fly ball. lol

Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Gose having a good night for the Tigers: 3-5 with a triple and an RBI. BA is up to .361!

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Congrats to Beltre on his 400th HR. He started his career around the same time I started following baseball, pretty neat.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 First time all year we get away from divisional play and AL East teams go 0-5.
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Happ had a Happy night. Again. He's certainly doing well so far: 3-1, 2.98 ERA, 3.35 FIP, 3.58 xFIP and 0.9 WAR. The Lind and Happ trades. Oy.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Everyone here hated Happ, lets see all the armchair GMs come out now.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I agreed with the trade then and I agree with it now Wouldn't have mattered AA sealed his fate in 2012
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Everyone here hated Happ, lets see all the armchair GMs come out now. I also think everyone knew pitching at Safeco would help his numbers, and that these posts would inevitably follow.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I also think everyone knew pitching at Safeco would help his numbers, and that these posts would inevitably follow. And his road numbers are less inspiring: 1-0, 4.26 ERA, 1.263 WHIP. Basically, his numbers are Safeco inflated. If he was pitching somewhere like Toronto, his numbers would be similar to last year. Of course, the trade hasn't been great for the Mariners, as Happ can't hit.. something the Mariners need.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 He's a fundamentally changed pitcher this year, but that couldn't really have been predicted. It was a great trade for the Blue Jays. I never said it wasn't. I've been a huge fan of this trade from the beginning. Are you saying he has fundamentally changed because he's throwing his off speed more frequently, allowing his fastball to play up a tick? Inducing more ground balls? IFFB%?
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Stanton on some kind of sick tear with the dingers this week. Another almost 500 feet again today. Poor fella on such a s***** team, just as well for us to have him if he's gonna play on a s***** team.
