Blue Jays getting second baseman?

Holland + Infante for a B-level prospect would be great. Infante is still good. BABIP was down and so was HR/FB%. SwStr% was improved. Contact was up. 7.5, 7.5, 8 for Infante is pretty reasonable when Stephen Drew could make $8M this year.

 

That would be amazing, highly doubt the Royals would do that though.

I think Adrian Beltre is a good example as to why this won't necessarily happen. Certain players age better than others, and Zobrist hasn't been in a steady decline or anything.

Why would KC do this trade? Trading their closer, a very good one at that, for a B-level prospect ... including Infante does not decrease Holland's value since like you said Infante is still good and his contract is not bad.

 

This trade would never happen ... KC will only trade Holland or Davis if they are getting an A-level prospect

 

I hope AA does not go this route ... trading an A-level prospect like Sanchez or Norris for a reliever
