US or UK? I've only watched the US version and I agree that it's quite excellent. I was binge watching it for a bit and stopped somewhere in season 2, his monologues really bother me. I found they weren't even needed most of the time.

US.... and yes some of the monologues were senseless

Any Vikings fans here? I'm a sucker for period pieces- Rome, John Adams, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire. I'd throw Spartacus in there too but the writing doesn't compare to the others.

I love Vikings, it's one of my favourite shows.

I don't think Colin Farrell is capable of anything more... Vaughan... almost never plays a serious role so that should be interesting.

I get a strong feeling the show will be cancelled after ratings drop off a cliff. Vince Vaughn lol what a joke.

I started Wentworth an the League this weekend. Blazed through the first season of the League and seen the first two episodes of Wentworth. Enjoying both so far.

 

I feel like The League could be so much better than it is. It's quite funny but it just seems a bit forced sometimes.

It's just silly humor to me. An alright way to pass some time in between some of my better shows.

It's still a good show. I think because it's not fully scripted sometimes it doesn't turn out great. Although neither is Curb and it's way better... Larry David is a legend though, so it's tough to compare.

I never said anything about being news, I was simply posting the link to the TV Show thread as many don't frequent the off topic forum. I don't post in that thread either, but as a lurker it appears many who have commented on TV shows ITT haven't posted at all there.

I might be wrong but I believe Larry stopped writing Seinfeld episodes in some of the later seasons and those were, by far, the worst episodes.

 

I don't find Jerry Seinfeld to be that funny at all to be honest. His standup act is good for a few mild laughs at best. Jason Alexander is also not funny at all outside of his portryal of George Constanza. David made those two much funnier than they actually were.

 

TL;DR Larry David might be the GOAT

He stopped writing the last two seasons I believe - he did come back and wrote the series finale though.
