Orioles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I like you. That site is a joke. 1. You gotta pay to use the full site.(The owner of that site is making mad money off those loser that pay) 2. If you don't go full homer you won't be around long.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I was wondering the same thing, but I think it's affected Baltimore more. DD may have just shut down business completely until this gets sorted out. He's a consummate pro, he wouldn't jeapordize the org.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Look at teams like Oakland and Tampa that can't put butts in the seats even though they've both had recent strings of success. We don't have A's and Rays fans coming here talking s*** about empty seats.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 It probably has hurt Baltimore more, but doing nothing for two months waiting for Lloyd Christmas to broker a deal for an executive may have cost the Jays a win or two just by not adding talent when the opportunity was presumably there. Twenty two years without the playoffs and ownership freezes the roster to negotiate with an executive? That's disgusting. WAT? cf
Orioles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 He's a consummate pro, he wouldn't jeapordize the org. Yup, He didn't do anything till February last year. It's just the way the Orioles work.
Orioles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I find it crazy if Jeff Hoffman name is really being talked about. Why haven't the Jays just walked away already? Do you guys really have a hard on for Dan?

Do you guys really have a hard on for Dan? It's being talked about by idiots in the media. If Hoffman was actually on the table DD would be picking out office furniture in the Rogers Centre already...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 And the Jays would be stuck with a CEO that just got stabbed in the back and who doesn't seem like the brightest bulb at the best of times. He's retiring KK, I'm positive this BS crossed him, but the Beast is leaving in late 15', he probably doesn't care all that much. Rogers, just dropped the ball here, bigtime.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 WAT? cf Not sure how reliable it is since it was from Blair, but apparently AA has/had deals lined up for Navarro but was told to hold off until the Duquette thing was settled. Considering the team hasn't done anything since the rumors first started, I tend to believe it.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Other than the first line, you're comparing apples to tractors. Colby Rasmus approves this analogy
Testicles Verified Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Other than the first line, you're comparing apples to tractors. 90 wins: Orioles 1/3, Jays 1/8 Pennants: Orioles 1/10, Jays 1/19 World Series: Orioles 1/20, Jays 1/19 Division Titles: Orioles 1/6.5, Jays 1/7.5 100 Wins: Orioles 1/12, Jays N/A Playoffs: 1/5, Jays 1/7.5 Didn't feel like doing exact math but they should all be close enough.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Andrew Stoeten "There are people in the Rogers hierarchy who thought this was [AA's] last chance."- McCown, who wonders if those wanted Beeston to fire AA.
