My source, who I will not name (but some of you may have heard referred to as Ken Rosenthal) has just personally informed me that the Jays and the Orioles have struck a deal that will send executive of the year Dan Duquette to Toronto in exchange for Ricky "The Dragon" Romero and Dioner "Eat, Eat, Eat, Repeat" Navarro. The Jays were ultimately successful in calling the Orioles bluff; when Angelos demanded a package centered around Jeff Hoffman, Ed Rogers spat on the floor in disgust and retorted with Romero and Navarro, saying "take it or leave it", knowing full well that his carefully engineered sabotage had inflicted enough damage to the O's front office that it had become impossible for them to keep Duquette on without engaging a plethora of controversy. The O's, accepting this fact and finally reaching a point of exhaustion with the whole ordeal, begrudgingly accepted.
