BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Wow n f***ing wow! Shields please AA ! Thank you! Would Estrada, izturis be enough to get Scutaro?
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Kiss my ass moron. Is that properly spelt. f***ing jerkoff. lol, some of you sure are feisty.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 With Pitching which would you guys do for about the same money 5 years of Lester for $26 million per OR 7 years Scherzer at $28 million per. Instant shut down Ace of the staff. OR Both Andrew Miller and David Robertson for a combined 5 years $26 million. Set-up and Closer tandem would be the best in baseball with Cecil and Loup as a pretty lethal 7th inning tandem. Should do a proper poll
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 lol, some of you sure are feisty. Just tired of the young punks that think they are smarter then everyone else. At 61, I don't need that s***.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 This opens the door for one of Sanchez or Norris to start, with Estrada ready to go if the rookie struggles.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Shields for something like the Anibal Sanchez deal. And then Luke Gregerson or whatever. I don't care about closing experience or who closes. This.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I think we have efficiently added enough wins where a Shields 5 year deal makes sense now. Man, I'm so pumped.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 You're one of the few of us on the board who can remember the last time this team made the playoffs... 92-93, best ever years for the Blue Jays. Hope to see it again soon. That was exciting baseball. Jumped right out of my chair when Carter hit that home run. Touch them all Joe, you'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!!!!!
jkun41 Verified Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I enjoyed this gem on the espn article: Chris Minassian · Los Angeles, California As a bluejays fan, I'm getting dizzy with all these stupid moves. Trade Lind for junk. Trade Lawrie w 4 prospects for a 3rd baseman who's 4 years older than Lawrie, & now trade one of best pitchers?? I don't get how this is a winning formula, looks like it's back to cellar for Toronto lirl at this response: Mark Bryce · Fanshawe College You are an idiot. Happ was not one of their best pitchers. Edit: Got beat on page 2 Ready to read insanity? This from some guy that comment section from ESPN's headline on the deal: "As a bluejays fan, I'm getting dizzy with all these stupid moves. JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 lol http://www.lookoutlanding.com/2014/12/3/7329553/mariners-trade-condor-hiss-hiss That's funny. I was drooling about our top 5 batting order, now I'm what do the young ones call this FAP FAP FAP to our top 6 batting order. f***ing AA, he's killing me.... in a very very nice way. Now he can put me out of my misery by getting us some top RP and a number one SP.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 AA has so much time to fix the pitching now. we're starting to look legit!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 AA is back. Wow. Best off season ever and it's not even close
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Saunders is an okay player who will likely get better in Toronto but he's not 'fap-worthy' imo. It's a good trade for us mainly because the value he will likely provide exceeds his salary, allowing us to make a play for someone like Lowrie and/or one of the mid tier SPs. I don't think this trade is that bad for the Mariners, Happ will be solid there, the problem is that they presumably could have gotten a Happ type without giving up Saunders.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 So this pretty much says Melky is 100% gone right?
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 This offseason has gone better then I ever imagined, and with the money saved may be ore to come, legit excited.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 ^ Lol Donaldson is not going to bat sixth.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Reyes Martin Bautista EE Smoak Donaldson Saunders Goins/Travis Pompey Bench Navarro Pillar Thole Valencia Tolleson/izturis Need another OF Why on earth would you bat Smoak ahead of Donaldson
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 So this pretty much says Melky is 100% gone right? AA specifically said on the radio today that we are now "out" on Melky
