Why are people even doubting the trade. We got an MVP calibre 3B. Unless we gave up a Trout-like prospect, there is no way in hell it was a bad idea

anyone else kind of sad to see how far Brett Lawrie's star has fallen since his rookie year? I remember some posters on the mlb message board were comparing him to Mike Trout in terms of projected WAR.

Barreto is playing like s*** in high A ball.

 

Nolin is prob back-end rotation at best, same with Graveman.

Yup. Awesome deal regardless of what those who went to A's do. AA has made some excellent moves and some bombs. Ive seen worse GMs.

I've never hated any of the moves from AA (easy to look back now and complain) but it's mostly the moves he hasn't made that drives me nuts. Like 2 years in a row without acquiring a pitcher to fill our biggest need is.. for lack of a better word, depressing.

Completely agree (with possible exception of RA and Gomes although I get what he TRYING to accomplish with them)

 

We really aren't that far off where we need to be.

There was plenty of hate on this board including from yours truly when the Dickey trade went down. That trade was an absolute travesty.
