fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Guys what if we get Yunel Escobar from the new Rays GM FAPFAPFAPFAPFAP
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I think when you make a move like this you don't head into next season with a question mark at 2nd base. Lowrie would be a pretty good target on a 2 year deal. I like Deon Travis but you would like to have depth even if you think he could start for the team.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I've had a rough week: strep throat, lost my job, been stressing over a huge exam in my profession next week that I am not confident about. So the news of this trade was very welcoming. Thank you AA. Lets go Blue Jays! Good luck on the exam, and I hope you get over the strep and get a new job quickly... The trade portends good things in the future.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Guys what if we get Yunel Escobar from the new Rays GM FAPFAPFAPFAPFAP not going to happen. I don't even want him tbh. He is coming off an awful year even if you put aside what he did.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Everyone should be calling to get a Jays Flex pack. Playoff tickets are going to be a bitch to get after 20 years of no playoffs. I agree. I did the same thing with Raptors this year. It's even hard to get a weekend ticket without paying double the price

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Wait is that Navarro or Melky? I can't tell That's Buehrle

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Trade Dickey + Buerhle then sign all 3.. I was thinking of moving Buehrle to clear cash for 2 starters, but I don't think Dickey is really moveable for something valuable. Besides he won't free up much cash
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 That's Buehrle Goddammit!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Wonder what the Moogster thinks of this. Was wondering the same thing

Besides he won't free up much cash Well, I'm not sure why we couldn't work Shark out of Oakland, he most likely will get traded at some point this year. I'm sure AA/Beane talked about him. Trading Dickey/Buerhle aren't about getting something in return, they will be traded for very low end guys + salary relief. They are 35 and 40 years old. You can't expect to get any value back obviously.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/AlkRhu1.png I checked 15 minutes ago, and it still said Oakland... Guy is on the f***ing ball (little does he know, Gibbons is going to have him playing CF...)

We got the best third baseman in baseball in a trade today, and now Travis is #8. f*** we made a good trade.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Well, I'm not sure why we couldn't work Shark out of Oakland, he most likely will get traded at some point this year. You can't expect to get any value back obviously. We can probably work something out for Kazmir but I have a feeling Shark is hard to move. Beane always seemed to have problems in trading/trading for position players vs. Trading pitchers. He'll probably try to squeeze as much value from Shark as possible vs. Kazmir given his history

They're better in our rotation than all of our other options...
LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Andrew Stoeten @AndrewStoeten 1m1 minute ago f***. Donaldson outside the coliseum over the last two years: .291/.380/.496. I imagine his #'s will be even higher than that when playing in at RC half the time, since you could say general his #'s outside of Coliseum are based on roughly average PF and RC is not average.

It's even hard to get a weekend ticket without paying double the price Best value out there IMO is the 20 ticket flex pack. You can get 4 tickets to the home opener (which if you sell, can make up the money the flex pack cost in the 1st place) and 6 tickets to Red Sox Yankees games. What I did last year was pick all the prime games like Canada Day and weekend vs Yanks and Sox and if I couldn't go sell them and get double value. When your a flex pack owner you can buy other tickets with no fees as well.
