RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I hope after this game and we are officially out we shut down Stroman Sanchez and Hutchinson
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Still fun as f*** to watch the kid chuck tho all the same Yep. And he's unflappable.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Navarro is the anti-frame
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 gonna be that kind of night huh Hopefully just one inning
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 f***ing Orioles magic. f*** that goddamn franchise. Luckiest franchise in baseball. I wanted Oakland to pound them in the playoffs but that may not happen.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 No shot at the plate? I don't think you risk it in the first inning. Take the 2 outs.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I wanted Oakland to pound them in the playoffs but that may not happen. Oakland is one 3-4 game winning streak to get hot, they're still a great team even without Cespedes, who wasn't even their best hitter.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The Orioles' luck is unbelievable, f*** this s***.
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Tough luck. Stroman doesn't seem to have it today.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Tough luck. Stroman doesn't seem to have it today. The part where he made Nelson Cruz and Adam Jones look stupid wasn't promising to you?
43211234 Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Tough luck. Stroman doesn't seem to have it today. I thought his stuff looked fine. Wouldn't be surprised if he threw up 0s for 5 more innings.
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The part where he made Nelson Cruz and Adam Jones look stupid wasn't promising to you? Nothing promising about an inning where you give up 4 hits.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 The part where he made Nelson Cruz and Adam Jones look stupid wasn't promising to you? if it wasn't for Navaro and his lack of pitch framing skills, it would be 1-0 Jays?
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 That bunt attempt from d'arza get him a base hit Tolleson moved in to the grass. Line drive just over his glove. At normal depth it's an easy out Would like to see how many sac bunt he's had all year. Seemed like an over reaction to move in to the grass Small things like this and baltimore's superior defence get the orioles ahead of the jays
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Nothing promising about an inning where you give up 4 hits. The one hard hit ball was De Aza's? He gave up 3 bloops and a line drive, is that really that bad?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Amazing inning boys...
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* cf go leafs go mode yet?
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I think Goins already used up all his hits this month
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Navarro is infuriating at times.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Why Bautista in CF?? Wouldn't both Pillar and Mayberry Jr. be better choices??
Vincent Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Navarro is infuriating at times. The pitch framing is a problem. But isn't the actual real problem with the umpires. How you frame a pitch should not affect the call.

It is, but with what we have, you can sort of cheat the system by having a guy back there that tries to steal strikes, as opposed to what Navarro does.

How you frame a pitch should not affect the call. True, but these are human eyes calling a pitch travelling at 90 mph that crosses a target area for a millisecond. Errors in calls are bound to happen and that makes framing a very important skill
