comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) White Sox pen suddenly having trouble with the Royals. Now only up 3-2. And the Tigers, who are still being chased by the Royals, just blew a huge lead and are now tied 6-6 in the 8th(effin Chamberlain and Coke!) Tigers look like they will win. Its Sea or KC we have to catch.Detroit is getting back players, and KC has been losing players, but if somehow we win the next 2 in Baltimore, and other things happen, the mood will drastically change. edit:Jesus... sorry for sounding like Wilner-lol. Jayday Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 As a catcher you should care a lot about framing. You cant just catch the ball. You have to try and help your pitcher, and the umpire to make a strike call judgement. Never really paid any attention to it till hearing so much about it. I,ve seen it influence an umpires call enough to suggest that its worth a shot. 20 years of bad to no pitch framing = no playoffs. Let's take a look, seattle, no pitchframing no playoffs, same with cubs, astros, colorado, padres,pirates..till martin joined...,brewers, KC, mets,.. if they only all had pitchframing catchers, they'd have their share of WS championships... IT IS REALLY THIS SIMPLE !!!
Vincent Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 They are 4.5 games out and have to overtake 2/3 of KC, Oakland, and Seattle. Not happening you homer. This

IT IS REALLY THIS SIMPLE !!! Anyone remember Pat borders ? He was an excellent pitch framer, and therefore it made him into an excellent defensive catcher, and then to everyones surprise he gets hot offensively ,and wins the mvp in the playoffs. I dont like seeing a catcher just catch the ball like he doesn,t give a s***.It means he is too fat,but when you look at the molinas... it makes you wonder, angrily sometimes.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Kc wins. We gotta win. This may be our last best chance to gain ground with Seattle. After that ........................
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Pillar is just not an MLB player, much less a starting one. And how many MLB players do we have on our roster? Our AAA team trying to make the playoffs, pretty sad.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 You couldn't hold a candle to Wilner??? Speaking of Wilner... he had the Beest on Jays talk last night and the wise old Beest still believes in this team. http://t.co/g40ABWYAjr Olerud, I would like to hear what you think of the Beest's uber confidence in the team that has his fingertips and cigar ashes written all over them.

They could lose nearly 90 games and he'd still believe in this team...oh wait. Beeston is a stubborn old fool who doesn't know anything about baseball anyway.
