GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 then you DON'T HAVE TO respond to his every post saying " DIAF, YER DUMN!!" I'm now going to do exactly this. Just for you.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 One Pirates homer might give him a 3rd place vote, 2nd at the most. His skillset is very much undervalued around the league. Ditto for Lucroy. They'll also likely give his teammates Josh Harrison and Andrew McCutchen votes as well. And agreed on Lucroy.. not only is his defense great at C and 1B, he has 51 doubles this season! The one thing that might hurt his MVP chances though is the Brewers recent collapse, as their pitching has stumbled in the last month.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 GD is so dumn. You got a raysjays like. Congrats.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Maybe if you boys ever hit puberty and can find your dick then maybe you'll figure out there are more ways to have fun in life than being pieces of s*** on an internet forum. Says the one who cares enough to write out half a page of ******** to kids on an internet forum.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I had a dream last night that Lucroy was a FA and it was the off season and the Bluejays signed him to a 4 year 20 million dollar contract. Needles to say i had to change my boxers after that sexy wet dream.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Too big a playing time gap. Lucroy has 40 games and 180 PA on Martin, and it's given him the edge in overall value. Wow, I had no idea Martin was having such an insane year. I think Trout and Kershaw or maybe Stanton win, I think that its really tight for me between Felix and Trout for AL but I want to see Trout win after being snubbed in his first two seasons. Lucroy for NL MVP.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 What I've learned from this thread: King, Orgfiller, and GD are true keyboard warriors. As long as this forum allows pieces of s*** like them to post freely with no reprimand it won't be a place that I'll post in. Honestly, this place sucks because of posters like them. Until s*** changes around here it will never appeal to the masses. These kids are pieces of s***. Straight up. Maybe if you boys ever hit puberty and can find your dick then maybe you'll figure out there are more ways to have fun in life than being pieces of s*** on an internet forum. Out. OH GOD PLEASE POST HERE I MUST HEAR ABOUT HOW FRAMING IS USELESS Cf

Lucroy for NL MVP. I'm pretty sure the writers will really want to give one to Trout this year, after two years of the uncomfortable Miggy/Tigers in the playoffs vs Trout/Angels not debate. I'm pretty sure he gets it and they'll be satisfied giving Felix the Cy Young. In the NL it's hard not to give both awards to Kershaw. I think he probably deserves both.
bzapple Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I'm fine with Trout winning MVP now that he leads the league in RBI.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Nelson Cruz should be AL MVP Buck Schowalter should be AL Manager of the year King Felix AL CY Young
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 My votes AL 1. Trout 2. Brantly 3. Donaldson What I think will happen 1. Trout 2. Felix 3. V-Mart My NL votes 1. Lucroy 2. Cutch 3. Rendon My NL Predictions 1. Kershaw 2. Cutch 3. Stanton
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Kershaw is a no brainer. If Cleveland makes a late playoff push I'd love to see Brantley win it.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Kershaw is a no brainer. According to who? I don't care if you think he should win (he's a fine choice) but to say he's the only choice makes you look like a douche.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 NL WAR Leaders: Lucroy 8.9 Martin 7.2 Posey 7.2 Kershaw 6.7 Rendon 5.9 AL WAR Leaders: Trout 7.5 Brantley 6.2 Gordon 6.0 Kluber 6.0 Donaldson 5.9 My picks for the awards: NL MVP: Lucroy AL MVP: Trout NL Cy Young: Kershaw AL Cy Young: Hernandez (Kluber close 2nd) NL ROY: Billy Hamilton AL ROY: Jose Abreu NL MOY: who cares AL MOY: who cares Just curious but where do you have Cutch?
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Kershaw is a no brainer. If Cleveland makes a late playoff push I'd love to see Brantley win it. You'd love to see Trout get robbed again? Why?
CHRIS Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Trout needs to win so that the Mike-Trout-Snub-Watch doesn't become a thing.

If you want to dish it out GD you need to be able to take it and not hide behind the Kid label. Too many on this board like to ridicule everyone not in their selected group but can't take anything back. This board does not exist without a bunch of posters supporting it.

Who's really close in your opinion? Kershaw's exceeded his performance, he just won't get the wins or innings Verlander got because of the injury. I just don't see another player who really deserves it.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 No he needs to win because he deserves it. Hes the AL MVP its not even close. Well yes, that part as well. I was an advocate of him winning the last two seasons as well. I just worry that if he doesn't win it this season, the fact that he hasn't won will take on a life of its own.

reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 No he needs to win because he deserves it. Hes the AL MVP its not even close. Is he really though? I mean if you look at fangraphs you say yes probably. If you watch him play and look at some of the results based numbers you might say otherwise. Defensively he hasn't been too sharp this year (going by word of mouth I don't watch many LAA games). All around his standard offensive numbers aren't eye popping relative to some other players. I'm not arguing either side here, but I don't think it's a guarantee he's going to win.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 My picks are: NL MVP: Who cares AL MVP: Jose Bautista NL Cy Young: who cares AL Cy Young: Mark Buehrle NL ROY: who cares AL ROY: Marcus Stroman NL MOY: who cares AL MOY: John Gibbons Comeback player of the year: JA Happ
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 trout pretty damn easily for the AL, and prob kershaw for nl
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I think Trout wins the AL MVP hands down. Sure his other seasons might have been better, though he has been the best in the AL and he's played a big part in the Angels winning their division. Brantley and Abreu I'm sure will get some votes, though Trout is a no-brainer for me.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Lucroy is a no brainer. I'm unsure how much weight is given to the pitch framing estimates. I doubt many voters will take framing into consideration.

I'll even include the old-school stats for this one: Mike Trout rankings: HR: 5th RBI: 1st (lol) R: 2nd ISO: 4th wOBA: 3rd wRC+: 2nd (a measly 68% above league average) Not very eye popping indeed.
