Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Remember when Lawrie, Lind, and EE were supposed to feel like we just acquired 3 new players? I wonder what that feels like.

Governator Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 The entire training staff should be fired. AND PUT f***ING GRASS IN THE STADIUM. That's just being ignorant.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 The entire training staff should be fired. AND PUT f***ING GRASS IN THE STADIUM. Well grass is happening, not until 2018 or something like that but it's legit.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Well grass is happening, not until 2018 or something like that but it's legit. So, we're not winning this year OR next year???
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 No it isn't. They've already been preparing for grass for 2018 season (which is the earliest they can when Argos leave town) and Adam Lind isn't exactly a prime physical specimen to which we can blame trainers for. He probably gets backaches mowing the lawn.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I think they should ban all 6 foot basketball nets and red bull as well.
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Only explanation I have is this team is cursed...and get rid of the damn argos already so we can have grass!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I think they should ban all 6 foot basketball nets and red bull as well. one of these? http://shop.nays.org/media/images/Hoop.jpg lol
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 one of these? http://shop.nays.org/media/images/Hoop.jpg lol I guess you havent seen the instagram video of Lawrie dunking on one of those hoops in the club house. It was from May or June.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Wapuun. Lind like da jamaican food maaan. Him eat it in a de off season. You no seen ? (Not meant in a derogatory fashion) Athletes should not be eating a lot of Jamaican food. Its very very tasty, but very rich, and fattening if you eat too much of it for too long.

jayswin11 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 If I'm the Jays I'm trying to trade Lind in the offseason, or failing that letting him go. Can't count on him, back always gets injured. Might consider trading Lawrie too, again made of glass can't count on him. Morrow is a no brainer he was to be let go as well. I'd alsotry to trade Reyes for nothing more than salary relief.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Lind meets his required 15 pushups and 10 squats a day. Wtf do you people want from him exactly?

Im not sure why im surprised at the crazy comments after seeing some of the game threads but this is really really stupid. we have 6 players on the DL, two of which are on the 60 day. There are 16 teams with more injuries than us. We are middle of the pack in an area that amounts to bad luck more than anything... Just stfu and enjoy baseball and stop acting like 5 year olds that just spilled their cheerios.

Only thing I'd say is that the FO should STFU about how injured player (s) wouldn't be out "for as long as initially thought". They just look dumber than they look this way. Like you say, it's s***** luck that the injuries hit 3 of the team's top 6 hitters, but it makes it more frustrating for fans when the FO keeps making claims that turn out to be wrong time after time, seemingly for PR purposes.
