pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Again, If he can't run from second then he shouldn't be in the game to begin with and gose should be in the outfield and eddy shouldn't. I don't care if he hit a hr You can say it over and over again, but you're still wrong.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I don't get you guys about the Bautista PR. It's the 8th inning. That's a perfect time to PR. If it was the 6th/7th, I wouldn't do it.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Why can't Lind bunt? Excellent question

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Braun strokes a single to right. One out ,one on.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 Only an idiot puts blame on Gibbons for any of that. So AA is managing the team....o wait, thats gibbons
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Only an idiot puts blame on Gibbons for any of that. I'm usually the first to jump all over the idiots who blame Gibby for everything and anything, but PHing for Lind was a question mark to me. Granted I don't remember the last time Lind bunted, but I would think you could save his bat for later and just ask him to drop one down.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 You can say it over and over again, but you're still wrong. So if there's a chance of him running hard to home, isn't there a chance of him getting hurt running hard for single/double? Or we just hoping he doesn't have to run at all

That one may be questionable. I didn't mind the bunt or the PR for Bau.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 it was the 7th Noted. Just realized though that it was Navarro at the plate, who likes to slap singles around the field. Best to put Gose at 2nd to give a chance.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Lucroy bounces into a FC, 1-4. Two out.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Again, If he can't run from second then he shouldn't be in the game to begin with and gose should be in the outfield and eddy shouldn't. I don't care if he hit a hr Completely irrational. Teams have a bench for a reason. You utilize pinch runners when needed.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I'm not mad that he's taken out for a pinch runner, I'm just saying if your afraid of your star player being hurt running home, then I don't bring him back this quick, my opinion.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Gomez flies out to right. Inning over. 4-4 ,bottom of eight coming up.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Good inning by Loup. And BTW, Jamie and Zaunie are ripping Mastro a new one.. Mastro will be in AAA by the end of today.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 So if there's a chance of him running hard to home, isn't there a chance of him getting hurt running hard for single/double? Or we just hoping he doesn't have to run at all He hit a groundball earlier in the game where he barely jogged it out (what was a sure double play). Clearly he's been told to not go 100%. With what his bat can do compared to our minor leaguers, it's a sacrifice that's worth making.

I disagree. For the majority of the game, his bat is more important. But in this situation, with a late tie game, it's perfectly fine to take him out. And look, we got 1 run from it.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Need this win.. Hold them Loup.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 seriously, why the f*** are we pulling lind for some AAA scrub who can't even lay down a bunt? at least we keep lind in the lineup at the very worst Because Mastro is supposed to be able to bunt and then you make your defence better for the rest of the game because you are supposed to have the lead if Mastro executes. Great call by Gibby but you cant fault him for a guy not doing his job that he is supposed to do.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 seriously, why the f*** are we pulling lind for some AAA scrub who can't even lay down a bunt? at least we keep lind in the lineup at the very worst But according to our board thats the AAA scrubs fault...not any of the coaches for teaching fundamentals and making correct in game management

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Guys,Bautista's leg has to be protected for a little while. It was the right move imo.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Lefty Smith in pitching for the Brewers.

But in this situation, with a late tie game, it's perfectly fine to take him out. And look, we got 1 run from it. and if Jose got hurt stretching a double everyone would be after gibby's head for bringing him back early. Doesn't matter really, it's just a difference of personal opinions. Hopefully jays win this, all that matters.
