Buster Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 How much EXTRA would we need out of Dickey to justify carrying Thole around? How do the numbers break out on that? Not that we are getting it, but what would it look like?
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Before the trade deadline, this team needs: 1- A bat to replace Lawrie that could also be helpful against lefties (Could also use this bat off the bench when Lawrie comes back) 2- #1 or 2 starter. I would love to have Dan Murphy on this team, I wonder what would the Mets want in exchange.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Over/under 20 days until we start gutting the team
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Can you make me a mod, I clean this s*** hole real good the mods are doing a fine job themselves.
pickoff22 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Hey remember when this team sucked all June? 12-15. As bad as they've played, 3 games under for the month isn't exactly sucking all month.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Terrible series, but none of the matchups were in our favour. Still, the previous two games were not only winnable, but there on silver platters. Sucks. Really tough stretch next too.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 not at all but to expect a pitcher to perform perfectly is unrealistic just as we all knew that the Jays could not perform like they did on their winning streak all year long. Google: Gambler's fallacy
bzapple Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 They're something like 26-34 not including that 19-4 run (in which every possible break went there way). They're something like 0-39 not including the 45 games they've won.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Google: Gambler's fallacy You really need to talk with Ju1ced ASAP to make a waiting period for new posters.

DH12 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 This it like the first half of a basketball game when the game is over does anyone really care what happened in the first half or quarter? It's the last quarter that matters
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 You really need to talk with Ju1ced ASAP to make a waiting period for new posters. Good idea The idiot respawn rate is way too fast
Slot Machine Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 so we discount the 19-4 run because you want to prove they are a bad team? Not exactly. But it certainly looks like they will have to go 19-4 again to get into playoffs, since they seem to alternate between being expansion level s*** and the 27 Yankees pretty drastically over 20-30 game samples. How many teams that have swung back and forth like made the playoffs.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 They're something like 0-39 not including the 45 games they've won. They really should improve that.
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 You really need to talk with Ju1ced ASAP to make a waiting period for new posters. If a player is a career .210 hitter and he is in a year where he is hitting .300 10 games in, will he regress back towards .210 by the end of the season. Statistics and probability says it is more likely he will than continue to hit .300 the whole year
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Good idea The idiot respawn rate is way too fast Dogg will just make 20 accounts in advance. He is that pathetic.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Orioles in danger of losing 3/4 at home to a last place team. Clearly they're not a contender. Right?
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Orioles and Yanks doing themselves no favours whatsoever. Still 38-24 to 45-39 really smarts.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Dogg will just make 20 accounts in advance. He is that pathetic. Yes but with the waiting period the mod can check if the new poster is legit or a flat out troll from the start. Either way if they make it the mods just ban all of the accounts and we have a few more days of peace.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Normally I would report the above but since I've been asked not to I will let it be.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Also you can make it so you need a certain amount of posts to embed pictures I think.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Orioles and Yanks doing themselves no favours whatsoever. Still 38-24 to 45-39 really smarts. True. But Baltimore's and New York's struggles tell that the AL East is just plain terrible this season. At the current pace, 3 AL West teams (Oakland, LA and Seattle) will make the playoffs, while two of Toronto, Baltimore or New York(Boston and Tampa definitely) will be watching from the clubhouse. You can imagine TBS and Fox aren't looking forward to frequent 10:00pm starts in the postseason if it's something like Oakland vs. LA/Sea in the postseason. The AL East needs to wake up! Hopefully the turn to July will get the Jays sparked again. Bautista's back Tuesday.. maybe that'll help. BTW, the AL East is awful vs. the Central: Toronto 13-13 Baltimore 9-14 Yankees 4-6 Boston 9-13 Rays 4-9 Those numbers show a massive talent gap between the AL East and AL Central. Most of the AL Central have younger teams and stronger offenses. So Toronto is not alone in struggling vs. the AL Central.. yet we're .500 against them thanks to wins vs. Cleveland, KC and Detroit offsetting struggles vs. Chicago and Minnesota.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Orioles in danger of losing 3/4 at home to a last place team. Clearly they're not a contender. Right? They aren't they are a .500 team at best. There are only two teams in the AL East that I think can win 50 games the rest of the season...and they are both sitting well under .500 right now. Question is can any of the other other 3 win more than 40.
