Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Gausmen doing the same thing Hughes did. This is f***ing embarrassing.
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Another fat guy with a weak dribbler That sounds like something I'd hear in a porn flick.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Gose needs a swift kick in the nuts every time he swings for the fence Swing with 2 strikes better than first pitch swing
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Seems that Lawrie is seeing the ball well and has been the most discipline as of late Got this from game notes: - Is batting .351 (20-57) with RISP (8th in AL) with 5-HR & 4-2B …Has hit safely in 17 of his last 20 contests. - Over his last 41 games is hitting .294 (47-160), with 17 of those 47hits going for XBH (9-2B, 8-HR)...Collected multi-hits in 14 of thosecontests including six consecutive from April 26-May 3. - 6/6 vs. STL hit his 11th HR of the season...Hit HR in back-to-backgames for the 3rd time this season...Tied his career high mark of 11-HR (3rd time, last: 2013).

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 We were all hoping for that magical Red Sox type season... Come on, it's the Blue Jays lol. This last week has been the awakening. Pretty much. This is what happens when the GM does absolutely nothing to fix a bad team in the offseason and just hopes to get lucky. We got lucky with that winning stretch but it looks like the real team is starting to arrive.

GoFlamesGo Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Any time the Jays would like to remove their heads from their behinds, that would be good.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 AA 1.5 more weeks before s*** hits the fan... stop with the chicken slovak and do something
bowld Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 This sucks. During our streak we were able to score early and play with a lead. Last few games we are falling behind by 2-3 so early that we press to catch up. Cmon guys!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Yes, thats why the panic is an over reaction, they were not as good as the streak, and not as bad as right now. Losing like this is way more devastating for a .500 team, like previous years' fans know well. The important thing is that the slouch doesn't get too prolonged and they can build on a decent over-.500 record at the end of it.

Im not sure there is much to do at this point of the season. Most GMs wait until the allstar break before breaking out the fire sale signs nonetheless, I expect preliminary talks are already underway for another pitcher.

By that time it will be already way to late
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Need a big hit here. Please.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Watch Bautista try to play hero now, instead of trying to chip away
GoFlamesGo Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 As long as the Jays win around 15 more games before the All Star Break, I'm fine with that.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Pathetic Putrid and down right f***ing laughable now I bet Mike Wilner is going to say its a long season hahahah
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Pathetic Putrid and down right f***ing laughable now I bet Mike Wilner is going to say its a long season hahahah But it is a long season.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 How long till the "official-fire-AA" thread is bumped? I say 5 minutes.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Pathetic Putrid and down right f***ing laughable now I bet Mike Wilner is going to say its a long season hahahah All teams go through stretches like these. Still doesn't make it less frustrating though. Think about it, we just swept the A's and Tigers... two really good teams. Their fans were probably saying the same things during those series'.
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Bautista takes that hanging breaking ball first pitch, one to drive there. Too bad, team really struggling to score.
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Pathetic Putrid and down right f***ing laughable now I bet Mike Wilner is going to say its a long season hahahah umm...it is a long season...again every team has stretches like this, even Championship teams.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 How long till the "official-fire-AA" thread is bumped? I say 5 minutes. The thing is this team came in at 11 games over .500. At the beginning of the season I think the vast majority of people would have been thrilled if this team was 5 games over at this point.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
