havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Yankees about to be closed out by the A's and the Rays lose again.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Man huge f***ing win. Everyone seems to understand their role on this team. Exciting times for sure. A win with happ vs verlander tomorrow would be very sweet.
Jaysfan_85 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 We have officially a 600 winning percentage

HASHTAGYOLOSWAG Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 According to my research, we now have a .600 winning percentage!
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 We need the Orioles to start skidding. Gosh, they're going to be right on our tail soon.
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Should go with Stroman tomorrow instead of Happ.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Verlander hasn't been great this year, very possible! YANKS LOSE! Probably going to be a slugfest tomorrow afternoon.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Missed game. Caught highlights. LOUP!!!! Great win. We can beat anyone and I like no longer worrying so much about who the other team has or has done.
labadee Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 We need the Orioles to start skidding. Gosh, they're going to be right on our tail soon. not if we keep winning. we have a couple key series with them coming up, hopefully we can force them on their asses
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 And the ESPN guys were saying the only .600+ teams were the Bay Area teams.. then the Blue Jays won. So the elite teams now are Oakland, San Francisco, and the Blue Jays. And the team expected to win 90 games, Tampa Bay, is now 23-37 and sooner or later, much of their coaching staff and players will likely take the fall, which is unfortunate for Joe Maddon.. but he has nothing to work with! He should demand out of Tampa and go to a team with an actual future..
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Sweep the four game match up coming against them would be huge!
starfield Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I am a Bluejays fan but I'm scared of our own lineup
Molitor Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Couldn't watch the game but just saw highlights too. My immediate reaction was to race to this GDT and find the Tigers 6th inning so that I could see the gradual reaction from Dinkey and his suck-fest to Megatron Loup making it all better. Ahhhh, I love the highs and low of the GDT.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Great production from our 2-4 spots in the lineup tonight. Lind, Melky, and Jose combined to go 8 for 14 with 5 runs scored and 7 RBIs.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Boy, I hate ESPN and CBS Senior Writers. They give the Jays no credit whatsoever.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 1 baserunner given up by our pen after Dickey was taken out tonight. Really couldn't have been better.

Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Uh oh they said EE was pulled for back tightness.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Uh oh they said EE was pulled for back tightness. He will be fine. Give him the day off tomorrow.

He should demand out of Tampa and go to a team with an actual future.. He led a bunch of teams to +90 wins. He did the best he could with all the players he had. Of course though, it helped that Friedman had a bunch of high draft picks and fluke acquisitions. This year they suck because of pitching injuries and the lack of hitting.
Slot Machine Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Fun fact: Steve Tolleson has a career 131 wRC+ versus lefties in 113 at bats.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Great win! Sucks that tomorrow is a day game. Why couldn't it have been today's (my work from home day!) Dammit! LMAO
