Sparky12 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Somehow if the Yankees were running away with the division right now it wouldn't bother me as much Why does it bother me so much more because it's the Orioles. Why?? f*** the O's are on fire, looking more like wildcard is our realistic hope
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 The division is all but lost at this point. The only chance is the WC or an epic implosion by the O's.

guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 i still don't trust their rotation. their offense is good but like us has some serious holes at the back end of the order. i still think the division is within reach if we can make a run like we did in may

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 So....um. When do we start worrying about KC? Their playing some good ball.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Royals lead 5-0. But at the rate the Tigers are going.. we may soon be fighting the Tigers for the wild card. Their strong rotation is being offset by a bad offense and that terrible bullpen which one again blew a game for the Tigers. And Ausmus is sticking with Nathan because Chamberlain isn't that great, and Soria is DL bound.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 So....um. When do we start worrying about KC? Their playing some good ball. That's a question Tigers fans are probably asking as well. Their streak of playoff appearances could end if they don't show some improvement with their offense and bullpen. And they have games to make up soon too with a number of double-headers.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Oakland absolutely killing Minnesota. Trevor May's debut numbers: 2.0 IP, 3H, 4ER, 7BB! 0Ks Ouch.. he'll be on a plane back to Rochester after this. Trevor May has had control problems throughout the minors.. and they're being manifested vs. a team that leads in walks drawn in the A's. And you wonder why the Twins are still struggling to put a competitive team on the field.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Looks like Chicago and Seattle will be heading to extra innings. A Chicago win would be nice.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 White Sox up 2-1 in the 10th!
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 It's fun to cheer alongside Hawk lol Sox win!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 KC next four games: Vs San Fran - Lincecum Vs Oakland - Gray Vs Oakland - Lester Vs Oakland - Kazmir Should be able to make up some ground if we play well.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Great matchups this week: A's-Royals and Yankees-Orioles. Jays just need to take care of their own business.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Tigers down 8-1... in the 2nd inning. Verlander knocked out early, and Justin Miller is pouring gasoline and lighting a match, giving up a HR to Travis Snider.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Yanks leading the O's 3-1, hopefully they can pull this one out.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Yanks leading the O's 3-1, hopefully they can pull this one out. Also, need Oakland to beat KC. KC currently up 1 to 0.
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Biggest thing is we win so let's hope for that
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Also, need Oakland to beat KC. KC currently up 1 to 0. Hopefully the A's sweep them.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Hopefully the A's sweep them. Either that or the Pirates sweep the Tigers. Remember, if the Royals win, the Tigers will fall into the wild card race, and a Jays win will cut the gap to a single game.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Update on Verlander, and it could be a DL stint looming: Jason Beck @beckjason Verlander removed with right shoulder soreness. Will be further evaluated Tuessday.

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Machado out with what looked like a brutal injury to his right knee. Came out of the box and just collapsed.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Machado out with what looked like a brutal injury to his right knee. Came out of the box and just collapsed. And considering how he was hitting recently and his D, losing him could allow the Yankees and Blue Jays to have a shot to get back in the AL East race. Remember, the Yankees are playing the O's as we speak. Taking him out of 3B could be devastating for the O's. And it doesn't help Hardy has a thumb injury as well, hurting their SS position as well.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 And Cruz with the 2 run bomb... Baltimore, f*** off.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 The Orioles just won't stop. They are going to run away with the division.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 The Orioles just won't stop. They are going to run away with the division. Their offense is superior to ours right now. And Cruz / Davis are heating up. That's just dumb.
