Would you guys do the Berrios deal in fantasy? I have Martin and SWR and was offered Berrios for the both of them.

Would you have Berrios for longer than a year and a bit? Then yes, easy.

How bout Meadows instead of Springer and keeping my 1st...still Springer?

I'm not 100% sure Meadows is even better than O'Neill. Look at Tyler's xwOBA!

Just try to dump a bunch of your Jays prospects for a real Ace

Just got an offer of Rendon and Gonsolin for Grayson Rodriquez. Is Rendon on his decline?

Your guess is as good as anyone's. He only has to bounce back partially for that to be a really good trade though. It's one pitching prospect, what's the worst that could happen? lol

Yeah, I'm just extremely high on Rodriguez at the moment. Plus, I feel like I'm doing well when it comes to position players. I'm very weak on the pitching side. But it's such a tough call because Rendon has been so solid in the past.

Most of the time when you are feeling borderline euphoric about a specific prospect, it's a good time to cash in on them.

This is not financial advice.

If that's the case Franco and Torkelson are on the trading block.

How would you rank the following pitching prospects:

Manning, Baz, Meyer, Pearson, Mclannahan, Patino?

It's honestly just a pick 'em. Could throw those names in a hat.

Don't be too quick to heavily discount the guys with some MLB level struggles in favour of the guys like Meyer and Baz with clean MiLB stats.

It's actually a pretty interesting bag. Manning, Patino, and Pearson have huge huge pedigrees but recent warts. Baz and Meyer have great MiLB stats but are untested at the highest level. McClanahan might stand out to me as the one guy with elite stuff and success from the start here....

You basically need a back-tested model to rank them.

Interesting. So even with Manning's struggles you'd have him above Patino?

IMO- Manning, if he figures it out will stick at SP, don't see him as consideration for an RP option. Patino, could very well end up an RP.. Also worried about his frame long term..

Cool, thanks. I'm trying to pry Albies away with a Semein, Verlander (this team traded me Grayson Rodriquez, Patino, and Noelvi Marte for a broken Strasburg so I hope he values former aces), and one of the pitchers I just mentioned. Not sure if he'd bite. But not sure which of the pitching prospects to include in the deal to get it to work.

Would you trade Max Meyer for Rendon who's out for the year due to hip surgery?

Depends on whether one entirely attributes Rendon's struggles this year to physical ailments, or also the aging curve.

If the former, make the trade, if the latter, don't.

Thanks for the replies.

Would you do Semein and Chris Taylor for Albies? I know in the short term I'm giving up too much, but my team isn't built for this year or likely even next year. By the time I'm competitive, Taylor and Semien will be 32. Albies will be in his prime.

Without knowing how many teams are in the league I would probably do that.

It's a 12 team Dynasty league that started this year. Right now my team is set up like this:

C: Murphy, Moreno, Ruiz

1st: Guerrero

2nd: Semein, Taylor, Brujan, Abrams

SS: Franco, Semein, Abrams, Noelvi Marte

3rd: Suarez, Torkelson

OF1: Yordan Alvarez

OF2: Kelenic

OF3: Carlson, Adell

UI: Taylor, Abrams, Brujan, Marte, Barrero

U: Adell, Barrero, Brujan, Marte, Abrams

S1: Beiber

S2: Peralta

S3: Clevinger

S4: McCullers

S5: Mclannahan

S6: Dustin May

S7: Patino, Pearson, Grayson Rodriguez, Baz, Max Meyer, Matt Manning

So it's a very young team that won't compete until probably 2023. Justst wondering if Albies is worth giving two of the top 20 hitters in points league right now.

Albies ranks so high on lists I'd probably do it.

But I wouldn't sell the team short. Unless it legit sucks I'd probably try and compete every year in a 12 teamer like that.

Albies fits your team better but you're setting some value on fire there. Semien and Taylor are both like, as good as Albies right now. So you're flushing a lot just to age down. Your team can compete in 2022 for sure. You have some studs. Need an Ace, not a younger 2B.

Yeah, I think I'm underrating my team. Semein and Taylor are much better in the short term. They provide great flexibility. I just keep trying to get young top talent, but that would be sacrificing next year's team.

I wish acquiring an ace was easier. The pitching side is my weakness, but it's so difficult to improve that. The teams seem to hold on to top pitchers much more than position players.
