I can't believer there isn't more of an outcry, OR ANY OUTCRY AT ALL, from the owners and managers for MLB to get rid of these buffoons behind the plate and use the 100 % accurate k-zone technology available to them. The other day the Yankees were losing 5-2 in the 8th and Duffey threw a 3-2 curve that clearly caught the top of the zone for a K and would've ended the inning. Ump calls it a ball and the next batter is Judge 3 run HR and they win the game instead of lose it and as we know every Yankee result is paramount right now. In that same game I saw that home plate ump get 5 ball/strike calls wrong in a matter of 2 batters at one point. It's nonsense to have the game ruined like this when it doesn't have to be that way.

They need to fix the bugs in it first

That's like, the whole point of using it in the minors first

Currently the rules also allow an ump to overrule and make his own call of its clearly wrong. But trusting minor league camera angles for strike zone height is not usually a good idea

Claim Baz and start him? Yay or nay?

Depends on the context. If you need the counting stats then he's the best kind of stream imaginable.

Yeah very true. Actually I don’t think I’ll win counting. Definitely can’t expect to. Looking for good start…and could use another solid SP

Props to Yahoo for responding to emails fast. Some guy got salty when he lost last week (end of reg season- didn’t make playoffs) and dropped all his good players. I emailed Yahoo that next day and they were all frozen by the end of the night

Actually if I didn’t use a lot of my waiver budget during the season (they give you $100 for claims), I prob wouldn’t have said anything

I dunno, if he sticks in the rotation it's also a two start week from Baz. Toronto might rough him up but his MiLB numbers were fantastic. risk reward. if you are the dog, do it.

I need to protect 2 of the following in points league. How would you rank these guys:

Adell, Baz, Pearson, Brujan, Max Meyer

Brujan, Meyer, Baz, Adell, Pearson

Adell and Pearson will vary wildly over the next year or two imo. Could jump up a lot or drop further

Meyer over Baz? Nah.

I have it Adell, Brujan, Baz, Meyer, Pearson

Sadly, Pearson is a reliever

If Adell has slid for some, it is only cuz the Angels were too aggressive promoting him

Pearson will move back to SP next year

Yeah Meyer over Baz for me. Pretty close though

Thanks for the replies. Would any of the draft picks this year rank higher than the players I mentioned?

Yeah, arguably. Particularly Davis and Leiter. Not higher than all of the other players but perhaps one, two, or three of them.

I mean it's all the same when it comes to guys like Leiter, Pearson, Baz, and Meyer - any of the four could end up as the best of them.

Is Luis Robert a Top 5 Dynasty asset now? Babip and all?

Assuming clear Top 4 is: Soto, Tatis, Acuna, Vlad (in no particular order)

Then you got: Bo? Robert? Wander? … are those clear choices before you get to the vets like Trout?

Wander is clearly above Robert for me. Three years younger, projects about the same, plays SS (and might be a multi-position IF next year and beyond), and doesn't have the unsightly K/BB.

Yeah, I’d agree. I think it’s Bo and Robert after though.

Bo and Robert are kind of the same hitter right now and they're the same age. Robert maybe more untapped potential? Bo has the positional edge and has been healthier. I dunno.

Ohtani, Eloy and Trout have to be top 10.

I don't think Robert will be in the same class as Vlad, Soto, Acuna, or Tatis unless he improves on the walk rate. But he'll be in the next tier with Bichette as BTS mentioned.
