That's why Gibby should just blow him up! 120 pitches every start reguardless of his results! Let him understand to just pitch and stfu as nobodies coming to save your ass till you give me six plus innings! And save the pen in turn. If he has to throw 140 to make so be it! Do not Happ him cause he can't Happ himself!

He's a person, not just a baseball player. You don't try and f***ing injure a guy on your own team. Jesus christ.

Then dfa him but do something! Keeping him is not a option this team can afford! That plus short of injury or him dying that's the only thing it seems that will finally force AA to do something or make a move!

He did with Wagner.

Games now = games in Sept.

True.

If you have a situation like Strasburg's in 2012. Before the season started the Nationals appeared to be a playoff worthy team on paper. The team had a choice to either start Strasburg in April and get shutdown in September, preventing the them from running with a stud in the playoffs, or ease him into the season and start him in late April-early May based on whatever the teams concerns were to limit innings and pitch him into October, why pitch the guy earlier in the season?

that's a little of what I am worried about. Not sure how many innings they think they can get out of him. they should already know the date of when he could start regularly and be ok until October. It would be interesting to know what that date would be.

I'm not sure Redmond isn't better than Happ. Happ is brutal because he has to be on the edges all day with his stuff, but he doesn't have the control to do it.

In all honesty, it doesn't matter. The Jays aren't making the playoffs, so it should be lets do what's most palatable to help the team win without doing anything reckless.

Sorry games in September are not the same as now. For one in September roster size is different, bullpens deeper and match up potential changes. Also some teams have traded off their better players and other teams have acquired players. It's small sample size management.

I don't understand why Gibbons doesn't let the SP's stay out an inning or 2 longer, if the BP is spent and if the SP has already put the team in a hole that game?

Happ's getting beat up after 3 or 4 innings. Let him stay out there for the 5th & 6th.

I actually hope Happ does great, because it'll piss off so many people here.

Wow man, you're so edgy.

Sometimes I wish we had a second option besides 'thanks' to reflect s*** posts.

That's because you're a petty and irrelevant piece of s***.

Yeah... We'll just win ball games if our starting pitcher does well. I'm a horrible person/fan.

Go jerk off to Friedman, clown.

IMO he's doing well because he was able to gain velocity on his fastball plus he's been very aggressive with it lately.

Kudos to Happ. He pitched well against a very tough team.

I just hope that AA doesn't wait for things to regress before acquiring some pitching. We have the 3rd worst xFIP as a team in baseball. A front line starter and hopefully a healthy Morrow (i know i know) return in July should give us the depth we need for a run down the stretch.

Whether it's Kratz, Happ's ability to locate and/or his approach re: fastball, he's pitching better than I ever expected.

Still a very small sample size but he gets kudos for recent performance.

let's hope he proves many wrong including myself.

I am one of Happ's biggest critics but yesterday was the first time this season I was confident when he was on the mound. The two starts before that didn't leave you feeling impressed, but yesterday was a different story. I'm still skeptical but kudos to him for yesterday.

Absolutely. Stuff was good. He didn't get lucky, he pitched well. I'll take that all year from my 5th starter if I can have it. Well done Happ.

Hey we love to throw this guy under the bus when he wets the bed, lets show him some love when hes performing well.

He's getting good results, but there still lots to be desired. He's still walking too many guys and that will always come back and bite you in the long run. He has to cut down the walks to really turn any corner

He needs to work on his secondary stuff as well, a good fastball only gets you so far. But yes props to happ he has done well lately.
