gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Jays need to run a lot on Tony Sanchez tonight,he's hurting after taking those shots to the ribs.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Is he?.....that is getting harder to believe this season. In 443 PA in AAA last year he had a 85 wRC+. Yes he is.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Dickey at 36 pitches after 2. Amazing. Bring on the BP! Let's go hapless! Let's go hapless!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Dickey at 36 pitches after 2. Amazing. Bring on the BP! Not bad for him, considering 11 was vs 1 batter
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I told you guys, he's hurting big time.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Baseball coaches everywhere: "And that kids, is why you run on a dropped third strike"
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Thole's BABIP will not subside. Terrible call to send him wtf?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Also...i thought you can't block the plate?
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 only this s***** team would send the runner there... wow
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Are we not going to argue that he was blocking the plate? He was clearly blocking the plate?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Pretty sure you're not allowed to do that. I don't really know a lot about it but aren't you allowed to somewhat block the plate once the catcher has the baseball?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 only this s***** team would send the runner there... wow Rivera has been absolutely awful with sending runners this year.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Do people actually enjoy seeing pitchers hit? Just adapt the DH already National League..
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 luis rivera, -2 WAR third base coach
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Seriously WTF. Why didn't gibbons argue? Catcher was COMPLETELY blocking the plate.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Do people actually enjoy seeing pitchers hit? Just adapt the DH already National League.. I don't. It's like watching retards try to hump a doorknob
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Why the f*** did we send him? As much as it f***s momentum when you get gunned down...I like an aggressive 3rd base coach. Send everyone! And you only have to give a lane...you can cut that lane after that.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I really didn't think Marte had a shot there, that ball was down the line. On the other hand, I don't have a view of where Marte was positioned on that pitch. Sometimes you have to give the other team credit. Gose threw out a runner the other day. On the other hand, there were no outs so the coach should have to explain that.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Do people actually enjoy seeing pitchers hit? Just adapt the DH already National League.. But it keeps the tradishun hur durr!! In reel basebol picturez hit!!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I don't really know a lot about it but aren't you allowed to somewhat block the plate once the catcher has the baseball? Yes.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Are we not going to argue that he was blocking the plate? He was clearly blocking the plate? Look the rule is that the catcher is not allowed to block the plate if there's a three-quarter moon and Venus is in secondary alignment, unless Saturn has moved into the third quadrant and the umpire is holding the ring finger of his left hand roughly parallel to his right nostril and as long as the fan in seat 125, row 15 has drunk no more than half a beer. It's perfectly simple!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 But it keeps the tradishun hur durr!! In reel basebol picturez hit!! Yup, and screw these new small stadiums. Should go back to the days where the fences were 500 feet away.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Yes. So completely blocking the plate is the issue? Can someone tweet this out and see if anyone knows whether that was legal or not?
