Took your advice on Parkey.

Also swapped Keenan Allen with Andre Johnson.

Goodluck today.

Thanks you too. I am not a huge fan of the mathcups this week compared to last. Still made a few small players. Drew Brees is in all my lineups so hopefully he does well.

FanDuel has some cool tournaments. I'm in a 5$ tournament where you can win a trip to LA to play in a 1 million dollar game at the playboy mansion.

I got 118 on DK which is pretty bad. Definetly my worst week yet. Seems all my big guys had off weeks.

Yeah. Alot of people had down weeks. 97 points and I'm sitting top 30%.

Yeah. Draft Kings you get the extra "flex" player. There's just 1QB, 2RB, 3 WR, TE, D in FD

Yeah i know. DK you can't really load up on as many big guys as FD it seems. BTW im sure you liked that Parkney pick, eh?

15 points. Thank you sir.

My defense (Houston) is what killed me today.

Haha I had them in one lineup and it sucked. Doubt if I make money this week.

I think I'm done playing DraftKings. I like FD more. You should make the switch too! The few posters on here who play daily fantasy sports only play FD.

Ive never played DraftKings, but Fan Duel hasn't given me a reason to leave it. It's a lot of fun, and putting in 50 bucks and playing for a few months is a lot better than going to any casino and losing that in a night.

I've had some success, but more losing than success haha. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it though, especially in picking teams between cash games and GPP.

Want to play a h2h tonight?

Has anyone played hockey on FD or DK? I feel like its the sport that would be the hardest to win money consistently since hockey stats involve so much luck and randomness.

ew hockey.

I need some help. Which do you guys think is the better lineup?

I have Scherzer, Gattis, Zobrist, Andrus and Longo set in stone.

I can financially fit in the following 1B/OF:

A)Abreau, R Davis, J Upton and Cutch

B)Freeman, R Davis, J Upton, and Cutch or JD Martinez

C)Tex, any combination of R Davis, J Upton, Cutch and JD Martinez

I really want to play Martinez vs the Twins and May, but not sure which lineup would be optimal. Thoughts?

Steelers?

Yeah i was looking at them. Maybe. It's not a great defense but their playing Jax. 5400$ seems a bit steep. I guess it's either that or Seattle. Ugh.

I'm thinking of playing next season, can you guys tell me what the competition level is like. Since the concept is basically fantasy baseball on steroids, is it like playing in a really tough money league against guys who know what they're doing. That's the feeling i get because this stuff isn't mainstream so it can't be attracting the average joes.

Well it's for real money. So if you don't know what your doing you probably won't be playing for very long. FD has a reputation for being notoriously hard when it comes to baseball but there's a member here who does quite well.

It's on par with online poker IFAM. The less money you're playing for the less 'skill' the guys you're playing with generally have. I'll join 10x $1 games before I join 1x $10 game.

In any case, if you're just guessing at your line-ups (i.e. you like x batter vs. y pitcher in z ball-park) you'll lose money in the long wrong (the same way people who don't know poker odds will end up losing money at poker).

With micro games I'd still say roughly 50-60% have a good idea about their line-ups and another 10-20% have a very good idea (using all the data available to project optimum points).

A lot of people are playing, it's probably on the verge of becoming 'mainstream' if it isn't already.

Why wait until next season though? You can play during the play-offs, plus you can play for free if you're nervous.

Do you ever play the bigger tournaments? I find it more fun then the micro double ups. I know it's the best way to win money but i just don't give 2 f***s about winning 70% of 10 1$ games. But ya...over the long run i can see why it's profitable.

I have a certain amount I like to play with each night. So I start with the micro games and work my way up until I reach that.

It doesn't make a big difference I'd say, because good players probably think the same way. But I still tend to think you would have more 'scrubs' playing micro games.
