Jays: Hutchison has a 2.08 ERA over his last three starts after giving up two runs in six innings of Toronto's 11-4 loss to the Orioles on Thursday. He struck out nine for the second straight outing and has 23 strikeouts while walking three over 17 1-3 innings in that stretch. Jose Bautista's homer on Tuesday night gave him 176 while wearing a Blue Jays uniform. He's three away from matching Jesse Barfield for fifth place on the club's all-time list. Edwin Encarnacion needs three homers to reach the 200-homer milestone for his career. He hit No. 197 on Tuesday. Royals: Ventura has struck out 27 through 25 innings after punching out eight through eight innings of a 5-0 win over Baltimore on Friday. Ventura became the first Royals rookie to strike out at least six in four consecutive games since Dennis Leonard in 1979. Bruce Chen originally was slated to start this contest, but Yost pushed Ventura up because of Monday's off day. BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Jays will win this one. Yup! There's a 50/50 chance you may be right or you maybe crazy! Lol All aboard the Crazy Train! Go Jays Go! Go Jays Go! Go Jays Go! Better bring Rum not sure they serve it in Hell! And it's probably bat piss and white rum too! Lol
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Lawrie scratched with sore back. Really! Holy fack even.
skinny123 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Francisco at 3B is going to be fun. It's not if, it's when, with the 3rd baseman.
GoldBull Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Damn... I was really hoping to get Bruce Chen
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Holy s***, Francisco at 3B hutch is a strikeout pitcher....we sacrificed a whole live chicken to ensure no balls are hit to third tonight
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Are you serious? He shuts us down. He pitches like an Ace. Like the last two quality starter's versus the Jays ? Seriously, our offence is starting to hit high gear. Francisco was mostly a dud these games too. Get Lind back and EE showing signs of recovering, this line up will rock and roll most games. Bautista is hitting like an elite player again. Reyes will get better. Lawrie's confidence is growing. Put it this way, the Royals starter yesterday was having a great season and we still scored 7 runs. The fact our bullpen imploded has kind of hidden the emergence of our offence. Tonight, yet another strong starter, so let's see. If we put another 5+ runs on the board that tells a story.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Francisco at 3B? Nothing good can come from this.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 I heard original plan for today was Lawrie at 2nd and Francisco at 3rd. May be wrong. That was the plan, they want to use that during interleague play Jason Vargas is a below-average starter. I thought you said he was crafty?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 He is crafty. Crafty and below average?? So a junkballer?
GoldBull Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Are you serious? He shuts us down. He pitches like an Ace. I just really wanted to beat him. I guess all in all though, the difference between Chen and Guthrie is pretty minimal.
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Jason Vargas is a below-average starter. Not to start 2014 he's not. Did he pitch against the Rays a few times ?
Errorcebia Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Lawrie scratched = Season over
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Lawrie scratched = Season over Season was over before it began. No need to make it worse by trying to hold on.
