Convo Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I love the part where he touches his greasy hair and acts like it's part of his routine, he then wipes a touch of it off on his pant leg to get the right consistency.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I think I have figured out Lawries problem at the plate. He needs to step closer to the plate or go back to his crouch. With his current stance he can not hit the outside pitch half as good as he could before. He needs to find that middle ground. Where he can cover the plate and still hit the ball hard. Would also help with hitting the breaking ball hard.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Sierra will pay this disaster-day. DFA after the game
Convo Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Why exactly does Lawrie not steal bases?
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 He touches his hair before every pitch. Get this cheating scumbag out of here
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Line drive right at LF, #BlueJaysOffense
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Greg Zaun may be an idiot but I love watching him rip into the Jays after they stink it up. At least he's not drunk off the Blue Jays kool aid like Mr. Wilner .
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Eh, you make your own luck. Funny how the same good teams seem to always be lucky
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 You are classifying them as good teams because of their luck. Same teams are lucky every year I guess
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Eh, you make your own luck. Funny how the same good teams seem to always be lucky Every single team is [un]lucky in some fashion or another
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 One of Cecil, Loup or Delabar should have been brought in. This is the one part of managing a pen that managers still don't do, they have a situation where the game is possibly on the line and they bring in their worst reliever rather than the best. Yes it's early in the game and maybe you have a situation later that you'd want the best for again, but that's a maybe, whereas right in front of you there's a situation that you just can't let get away
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Every single team is [un]lucky in some fashion or another I guess we've just had bad luck for 20 years in a row

Thing is, at least bring in Happ and not some guy that just got called up from Buffalo. And looky now, Aaron Loup is coming into the game down by 4.

theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Anyone else really want to see them just call it a failure and call up Nolin, Stroman, Drabek, Pillar, Jimenez, Sanchez, Kawasaki and trade our guys with any value for prospects. I'd rather watch them lose while seeing if any can stick instead of watching this 18-wheeler fall off the cliff in slo motion for the next two years
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I love our pitching Question that begs to be asked,is this part of a flawed drafting plan on the type of pitchers we are taking? Instead of flame throwers Should we not target control and ground ball pitching maybe more!

theblujay Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Whattt? Hmm let's see, Tigers pitching (considered one of best in league) 4th worst BABIP last year. Cubs s***** pitching, 3rd best BABIP. Luck is just an excuse. Good teams overcome luck and make their own good luck. s***** teams use it as an excuse for mediocrity.
