jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Obvious candidate. And he can play 3rd too BTW, in case Lawrie needs a day off. Decent walk numbers, good HR power, low average, though..

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 No he can't. He's the second coming of E5 I tell you!!! I am first on the Juan Fransisco bandwagon, anyone else joining in?

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Yes he can, as he played 3B in Milwaukee and Atlanta. But he'll probably be a DH/1B here.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 No. Your last bandwagon was Nelson Cruz. You've lost bandwagon privileges. Moises "Nelson Cruz" Sierra was my first and only bandwagon though D:

Just an fyi, aside from his rookie year Edwin never struck out more than 20% of the time, and walks at a career 10.1% pace. In 771 PA, Francisco's respective K and walk rates are 33% and 7%. But sure, second coming.

Regardless second coming, he'll find his groove and he'll be EE with the same raw power and worse discipline. Shall I say that he's, EE lite?

Being Dominican and having power doesn't automatically make you "EE lite."

I made a post about this years ago (http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&webtag=ml-bluejays&tid=82691): Both from the DR Both started and dumped from the Cincy org Both are butchers at 3B, moved to 1B and experimented at LF Both have raw power for days I'm on to something I tell ya!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Let's see what he's got. Decent splits against RHP. Maybe we get lucky and he hits a few dingers.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 All hail Lord Hutch! Ok... Wrong thread bud?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Juan Francisco is the best hitter in the Dominican winter ball.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Juan Francisco is the best hitter in the Dominican winter ball. !!! Didn't he murder the ball down there? What was his final statline?

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 As long as he never plays defense and never hits against LHP I'm fine with this for the next two weeks.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Liam Hendriks with 8K/0BB in Buffalo tonight. Great start to the year for him.

Yeah I mean for a starter going down he's not the worst replacement to have. The difference between him and Lind for two weeks is negligible.
