Is there really a point now? This team needs a #1 AND a #2 also.

 

Yes. If the rotation needs help after 2-3 months you can shop around.

 

Not a reason to avoid signing a FA who is desperate for a job.

Gotta admit. Alex tried very hard last year to field a winner. I didn't hear many naysayers saying his moves were mistakes at the time. In all fairness, it would be pretty hard for him to make drastic moves again this year without letting everything settle down to see where he is at with this team. I think he has to be patient, not to say that the team shouldn't have gone harder after Santana of Garza or something along those lines.

 

 

If Dickey somehow returns to form, Morrow finds that groove he had going there a while back, Hutch progresses and pitches well, Buerhle does what he does and we get 10 or more from a 5th starter...it could be different. But we also need Lawrie to start living up to his potential and Reyes to stay healthy and Lind to stop playing like he has Downs Syndrome, then we might somehow have a chance to compete. But those are a lot of question marks there. A lot of if's that need to happen just to stay competitive.

Uh, no. You must be drunk on cheap scotch. I said the website offers free delivery. And I clearly stated that YOU'LL pay any shipping (from me to you). In fact ... here's what I'll do. I'll charge you for shipping, but I'll just ship it (free) directly from the site to your address, and pocket the faux-shipping cost, thereby increasing my profit margin. While I'm taking advantage of the dumb and uninformed, I may as well get the most bang for my buck.

 

Let's keep doing this, but on a case of 40-year old bottles of Macallan 25 year. We'll keep the same margins. This will be fun.

 

I live in sweden. shipping will be more than whiskey.

AA has talked about retooling the farm lately. Which makes no sense, because there was no need to gut it in the first place considering all the crap he got for what he traded. But, this team also doesn't have any crazy Pujols like contracts. We just have to hope AA is not dumb enough to continue trading for old vets that have 0 value after they come here.

 

Honestly without being overdramatic AA doesn't get another chance and neither does Beeston.

 

If this iteration doesn't work Beeston should get fired, not retired.

 

If he manages to get retired I don't like the message it sends. No matter who you are you should pay for mistakes.

 

The next guy(s) have to do it right, big time culture change will be needed (assuming this doesn't work out).
