fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I just laughed out loud visiting this forum, because I just knew I wouldn't find a thread saying Reyes and Edwin have been cleared to play, while there's a new thread made for every minor injury any Jays player ever suffers. Yeah because given Reyes's track record and the fact he's going to play on artificial turf this is clearly minor, right?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 HPB on the hands... looked like his fingers specifically but stayed in and stole 2nd (defensive indifference) People making something of nothing.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 People making something of nothing. It looked bad in the beginning, dropped the bat and kinda showed that he was in pain, obviously the GDT would explode at that moment.

He came out of the game right after being hit Sorry to be "THAT guy" (not sorry) but no he didn't he stayed in the game and was on 2nd for the game winning hit by Nanita. Fatcow was talking about the Mets game.

jb22 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Wow what he got hit in the hand again? He sure did. Right on his top hand fingers. Initially looked like it might have been semi-bad he looked like he was in a fair amount of pain but he stayed in the game so I assume he's fine
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Edwin gets hit on the hands WAY too f'n much
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 There wasn't even an Edwin injury thread... That occurred during a game, so all the posts about it were probably made in the GDT.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Reyes is essentially an infield version of Carl Crawford. Aging player on a bad contract who has a game that is almost completely based on speed. Recipe for disaster. Love me some healthy Reyes... but this will not end well.
Errorcebia Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 So why haven't the training and conditioning staff been fired after how horrible the last decade has been for injuries?
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 The team was remarkably healthy during the first two years of AA's tenure, then the other show dropped, partly because he's constructed an old team of players with long injury histories. I'm guilty of this myself, but a lot of people tend to place a lot of blame on players' poor play on mostly everyone else but the players. (Coaches, Managers, Trainers, Conditioners, Bat Boys, Snack Vendors, etc...)
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Maybe this will lead to the signing of Drew? Who am I kidding.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Maybe this will lead to the signing of Drew? Who am I kidding. It can. It's our best odds. Outcry from fanbase + we can't offer a Qualifying Offer, just like what Drew wants. Sign him to a 1 year deal at discount and throw in an option

(Coaches, Managers, Trainers, Conditioners, Bat Boys, Snack Vendors, etc...) In all fairness, Tercet is probably partially to blame for all failures and he can be dispatched with relative ease. Simply have GordieDougie sit in his section and claim sexual harassment, tercet`s autism will take care of the rest. As for the bat boys, it seems pretty clear that Ginger Litsch needs to be recruited and I`m open to suggestions.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 It's borderline criminal that the money that was offered to Santana couldn't be offered to Drew. Goins to Drew is a bigger upgrade than Santana over McGowan and whoever else ends up filling the 5th spot.

Caper Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm actually kind of expecting a Drew signing now. The money is there, Drew is sitting around, and we had a huge need before Reyes started hurting. This team needs Drew. Yip. Dfa izzie, goins utility guy... Which he will end up playing a tonne anyway... and tell Thole to get the f*** out of here.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Hmm. Seems like they are actually thinking about signing Drew. Or they want Kawasaki to play every day...
LunchBox Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If Goins starts at 2B and Izturis at SS, I`ll rage.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Hmm. Seems like they are actually thinking about signing Drew. Or they want Kawasaki to play every day... I repeat ........... Goins must be very good at oral sex. WTF is he doing at MLB level?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Its now an Izturis to Drew upgrade. EXACTLY And that's possibly 4 wins
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 EXACTLY And that's possibly 4 wins closer to 2-2.5
