The org HAS to get over the Boras thing. And accept that FA acquisitions can help the team without wrecking the farm in general.

 

As for 2B, Boras came right out and said he would sign with the Jays AND play 2B, bit IF they made it a "long term commitment". So there's a barrier there cause right now a 1-2 year deal looks best.

 

No kidding. If Reyes spends any time on the DL whether it's 15 or longer, and this team does not sign Drew, I will just watch every game and laugh. Like every year, I just will not take these guys seriously and I won't lose sleep over it. I mean, Reyes has an injury history longer than War and Peace, and the team's starting 2B is a replacement-level hack. They knew these things entering the offseason. And they still didn't add an infielder more capable than Izturis/Kawasaki, despite having five months to do it. Oh, and they let him play short on turf in spring training games with a sore hammy. There are really no words.
