Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Brett Lawrie-3B: Lawrie is dealing with a hamstring injury, but should return on Sunday
baseballsss Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Brett Lawrie-3B: Lawrie is dealing with a hamstring injury, but should return on Sunday this guy is made of glass
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Another another bites the dust. Who next?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 C'mon, it's Spring Training! Opening Day is about 4 weeks away.. we should be more worries about our pitching staff and the bench. Lawrie should be fine by tomorrow.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 McGowan +2 Janssen and Lawrie -2
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 This is ridiculous, who wants to bet returns on Sunday turns into a month or so
Smokey Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Don't worry AA has a foolproof contingency plan in place for this type of scenario: it's called busting out the list of excuses.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 This is ridiculous, who wants to bet returns on Sunday turns into a month or so If he does return Sunday, I don't think the word injury was the correct choice of words.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 This is comical. Can't wait til they say he'll open the season on the 15day.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 When the f*** does a hamstring injury ever heal in one day? These guys lie almost as bad as politicians
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 So who's next now. I bet it's Bautista with a sore wrist or Morrow with a little soreness in his elbow. Reyes and a quad my 3rd best guess.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 lol literally nothing else can be said than this. This is sad and funny, this always happens
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 True, especially considering how many injuries we suffered in 2012 and 2013. But these overreactions need to stop. These fans don't work for the team, or are playing for the team. Remember, it is still less than a week through Spring Training. There's plenty of time. It could be worse.. we could be the team that was hoping Miguel Sano would come up this year.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 It's ok guys. Since Goins is penciled in as 2B it leaves us with the luxury of moving Maicer Izturis over to 3B if things go bad. Crisis = averted.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Hamstring injury....obviously means just a sore hamstring, which is to be expected in the first few days of spring training.
theblujay Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 99% chance he's out longer than til Sunday
baseballsss Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Hamstring injury....obviously means just a sore hamstring, which is to be expected in the first few days of spring training. really? you expect your players to be injured just because its the first couple of games in spring? wtf were they doing all offseason?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Maybe he shouldn't have been doing all of those dunks in the offseason
Convo Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 You just know lawrie will push it too hard. Looking forward to seeing play again in mid-late May though.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Lawrie will never have a healthy season. I'm not overreacting, it is the sad truth
vic city Verified Member Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The only reason I clicked on this thread was because I knew I'd get a quick cheap laugh at all of the over reactions. Mission accomplished.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 So Izturis at 3B and Getz makes the team, or Izturis at 3B and Kawasaki makes the team? The latter can play short, so he might have the advantage. Yes, I know this is premature, but with Lawrie, you have to think about these things.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 The only reason I clicked on this thread was because I knew I'd get a quick cheap laugh at all of the over reactions. Mission accomplished. Except it isn't an overreaction. The FO downplayed his injury last year too, saying he would only miss a week or so. Well he ended up missing over a month and when he came back, he sucked. The guy is made of glass, just like Morrow
