C'mon, it's Spring Training! Opening Day is about 4 weeks away.. we should be more worries about our pitching staff and the bench. Lawrie should be fine by tomorrow.

Don't worry AA has a foolproof contingency plan in place for this type of scenario: it's called busting out the list of excuses.

This is ridiculous, who wants to bet returns on Sunday turns into a month or so

 

If he does return Sunday, I don't think the word injury was the correct choice of words.

So who's next now. I bet it's Bautista with a sore wrist or Morrow with a little soreness in his elbow. Reyes and a quad my 3rd best guess.

True, especially considering how many injuries we suffered in 2012 and 2013. But these overreactions need to stop. These fans don't work for the team, or are playing for the team. Remember, it is still less than a week through Spring Training. There's plenty of time.

 

It could be worse.. we could be the team that was hoping Miguel Sano would come up this year.

It's ok guys. Since Goins is penciled in as 2B it leaves us with the luxury of moving Maicer Izturis over to 3B if things go bad.

 

Crisis = averted.

 

Hopefully Burns is ready at some point.

Hamstring injury....obviously means just a sore hamstring, which is to be expected in the first few days of spring training.

 

really? you expect your players to be injured just because its the first couple of games in spring? wtf were they doing all offseason?

You just know lawrie will push it too hard. Looking forward to seeing play again in mid-late May though.

The only reason I clicked on this thread was because I knew I'd get a quick cheap laugh at all of the over reactions.

So Izturis at 3B and Getz makes the team, or Izturis at 3B and Kawasaki makes the team? The latter can play short, so he might have the advantage.

 

Yes, I know this is premature, but with Lawrie, you have to think about these things.

Except it isn't an overreaction. The FO downplayed his injury last year too, saying he would only miss a week or so. Well he ended up missing over a month and when he came back, he sucked. The guy is made of glass, just like Morrow
