Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 masnRoch Source: #Orioles have made substantial progress on Jimenez and are working to finalize deal. Believed 4 years and around $48 mil.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I cannot wait to see AA's response to the media when he fails to sign Jimi and Santana.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 I cannot wait to see AA's response to the media when he fails to sign Jimi and Santana. 5th place, here we come!!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 f***. I hate Santana |Why does AA want him more? (which I think he does)
markdavo4 Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 If we are not in at that price (and no draft pick compensation) then we can't be too serious about signing a starter. Are we the only team that doesn't recognise what market prices are?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I cannot wait to see AA's response to the media when he fails to sign Jimi and Santana. I also can't wait to see the reaction of fans who insisted that all along AA has been waiting out the market and is still a ninja.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 9s Source confirms #Orioles working on deal with Jimenez. Report from @masnRoch said deal could be $48M for four years.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 I trust Ken's sources AA please price match
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Alex counter offer coming soon
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 If the Jays can't match or even better that price, f*** this season... Where's Dr. Dingle now? Told ya they weren't doing jack...
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 That's ok, Joe Saunders is still available.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Alex counter offer coming soon ... offers 3 years @11M
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 That's ok, Joe Saunders is still available. Hahahaha
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 This is the team no pitcher wants to sign with and Toronto can't beat their offer? This will look pretty bad if it falls through.
8D Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 oh f*** off AA Looks like AA will just ride it out with stroman and others. which i don't oppose, but pretty damn disappointing offseason
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 LOL. I didn't even want Jimenez coming into the offseason, but 4/48 is a steal.
itaos Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Please dont sign Santana Please dont sign Santana Please dont sign Santana
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 This is the team no pitcher wants to sign with and Toronto can't beat their offer? This will look pretty bad if it falls through. If you asked every person on this board if they'd sign Jimenez for 4/48 at the beginning of the offseason, they'd say yes. We were just scared his price would go well beyond 60 mil. This franchise is embarrassing.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 LOL. I didn't even want Jimenez coming into the offseason, but 4/48 is a steal. Less than five year deal at Josh Johnson Q.O. rate and that's still not good enough for AA? He was never in this. It was all just posturing.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 LOL. I didn't even want Jimenez coming into the offseason, but 4/48 is a steal. Under 5 years Under qualifing offer threshold (Eg. Josh Johnson budget) 2M more per year than s***** number 5's have signed for Still keep 2 first rounds picks
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I DON'T GET IT, AA DOESN'T WANNA OFFER 6+ YEAR CONTRACTS BUT JIMENEZ IS GOING FOR 4 YEARS, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU FAT f*** ffs
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hahahaha Haha but seriously that seems to be what they're heading towards... they'll get a couple scrap heap guys and hope that one of them works out.
Sparda Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 All that waiting... for this. Holy s***. I'm willing to cut the front office more slack than others, but f*** that noise.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 It was all just posturing. I called it. Do I want a cookie? No. I just want AA and Beeston fired.

To be fair this isn't a done deal yet (though when it gets to this stage with a Rosenthal credibility tweet it's usually about done)
Pete_7 Verified Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Meh I'm good with Drew Hutchison, pass on Santana
