Hi all,
Bored at work and was tossing this over in my head so thought I'd see if I could spark some discussion and get some views of those with better knowledge than I.
On one hand Gose isn't too far removed from being listed as one of the top prospects in baseball.....however, on the other hand his ability to contribute at the major league level seems to be growing increasingly questionable. This year it is a real possibility that he misses out on breaking camp with the team again, and could do so to Moises Sierra.
Does he still carry decent value in the trade market and if so would it be wise of the Jays to cash in while he still does (I read an article suggesting Mariners would be looking for OF prospect/bullpen help for Franklin) or is there still enough potential there for us to continue to stick with him and hope to benefit. I guess the biggest worry would be that if we traded him and Rasmus got injured then we are left with no one that can give adequate D in center (plus - given that the Greek has left Rasmus as the best OF going into free agency next yr it doesn't put us in the best spot to retain Colby).
Anyway, thoughts & discussion would be most appreciated.
Cheers
