  1. I guess he could.....he's more athletic than trumbo for sure. Not sure you'd want to mess with the Goldman at this stage though.
  2. nevermind - caught up on someone elses explanation. I need him to field well so he stays in the lineup for fantasy purposes.
  3. na - what he do? you mean in the field or something?
  4. Yo gruber - I'm new here so no doubt you'll prob tell me nicely to keep my opinions to myself. But I would have thought this is a decent place to come to chat opinions without getting unneccesarily over the top. A simple 'agree to disagree' prob would have sufficed, and I don't see how shortening that quote serves any agenda at all - other than cutting out the part that wasn't relevant to his point it certainly didn't change the context to fit an agenda. Anyway.....peace, love and BJ's eh!
  5. Cheers all for the replies. Consensus view seems to confirm my suspicion that his value has probably plummeted to a level where the return from trade probably doesn't outweigh benefit of keeping him.
  6. Hi all, Bored at work and was tossing this over in my head so thought I'd see if I could spark some discussion and get some views of those with better knowledge than I. On one hand Gose isn't too far removed from being listed as one of the top prospects in baseball.....however, on the other hand his ability to contribute at the major league level seems to be growing increasingly questionable. This year it is a real possibility that he misses out on breaking camp with the team again, and could do so to Moises Sierra. Does he still carry decent value in the trade market and if so would it be wise of the Jays to cash in while he still does (I read an article suggesting Mariners would be looking for OF prospect/bullpen help for Franklin) or is there still enough potential there for us to continue to stick with him and hope to benefit. I guess the biggest worry would be that if we traded him and Rasmus got injured then we are left with no one that can give adequate D in center (plus - given that the Greek has left Rasmus as the best OF going into free agency next yr it doesn't put us in the best spot to retain Colby). Anyway, thoughts & discussion would be most appreciated. Cheers MD4
  7. If we are not in at that price (and no draft pick compensation) then we can't be too serious about signing a starter. Are we the only team that doesn't recognise what market prices are?
