Not that young and he can't hit.

Yeah, good look with that.

kalfus is bigger, switch hits, won a batting title in his conference in division 1 college, won 2 championship rings already (one with the canadians in short season), all conference and all-star nwl with vancouver and capital one all-american. he is a proven hitter who will continue to get better.

Don't you worry John_Havok. We have a defense-speed CF in the system who is ALSO a very advanced hitter. In fact, he's a collegiate batting champion.

You are just absolutely the worst.

Get him on the prospect list.

Brenden Kalfus from the 2013 draft class is a solid hitter. He switch hits and has speed, strong arm with accuracy and a great glove glove. I think Kal has a much higher ceiling than Kenny Wilson.

i wonder how much knowledge Seitzer is spreading to the young pups like Kalfus, i feel like this org needs a year of Seitzer being the roving coach for there minors and that would be worth more in the long run

We need to have those with experience guide those who haven't been there yet. Every great player has mentors. Maybe the Jays should take your advice to help us more with our young prospects. Trout had Tori Hunter and now has Albert Puljos to mentor him. We need the same for our prospects. Kal seems like he listens and adjusts. He looks to have a very high ceiling. Go Kal.

To be fair, he just turned 24 in January and he has come a long way from when he was drafted as a toolsy athlete. His OPS in the recent AFL season was .725 and he stole 12 bases in 23 games and he's currently having a heck of a Spring Training with the Jays.

His work ethic and attitude are fantastic. He may turn into a decent ballplayer yet. He looks like a future 4th outfielder to me and I said that last year too. I don't think that he'll ever be an everyday player, at least not a good one, but I don't see a total flop here... not once the strikeouts come down more.

Do you really need to spread the manure in this thread too? I've managed to ignore the other one, just keep this stuff there please - if this whole thing is supposed to be either smart or witty it fails on both counts.

"How Andrew McCutchen is to the Pirates, I want to be like that for Toronto – or how Derek Jeter is to the Yankees."

Delusional much? A week into the season when it's time to try to sneak Jeffres through for the second year in a row, this guy can be called up to fill the Dewayne Wyse rose. Cabrera will need a caddie if he's to have some CF starts. That's the ceiling.

Didn't notice that TBH as I haven't been coming here all that often. That haven been said, it's still a valid question and the 'age' of the post doesn't give it any more legitimacy.
