  1. hi "king" i think pillar is 1 for 21 but like "bluejaysfan" said, it is still early and he was just in the majors last year so we will see how long it takes him to get out of this slump.
  2. i was referring to sanchez. and yes, both have really good stuff. i just looked at the lugnuts outfielders to see how well they are doing early on. the cf 1st rounder davis is hitting .231 (he hit .240 in all of 2013 and .167 in vancouver in 2012 and has a yearly history of striking out far more than he hits). the right fielder, carlos ramirez drafted in 2009, is hitting .154 (career ave around .220). the left fielder, d.loveless, is hitting .111 (hit .226 in 2013 and .165 in 2012 and .059 in 2011). does any blue jay fan believe that any of these players could win a batting title in a highly scouted division 1 college program like kalfus did? i doubt it! kal and other players who have a history of performing (see college stats and vancouver stats) are better players and should have been promoted. this is why the jays are the jays. and this is why we haven't been in the playoffs for over 20 years! wake up blue jays!
  3. he has big league stuff for sure. "king felix" of seattle was in the bigs in his teens! he has the skills so put him there to help us.
  4. and he is the #1 rated blue jays prospect for the second straight year. makes you wonder where the other prospects will end up and why they will end up there. its good not to rush players to quickly. i really do think it matters where the start, but it matters how well they progress and how much confidence and support they are given.
  5. kalfus is bigger, switch hits, won a batting title in his conference in division 1 college, won 2 championship rings already (one with the canadians in short season), all conference and all-star nwl with vancouver and capital one all-american. he is a proven hitter who will continue to get better.
  6. NorthOf49 thank you for sticking up for the jays and so many fans. and great avatar! go jays.
  7. The Blue Jays are one of only two teams in the entire MLB not to make the playoffs in over two decades. Its time to change and build a foundation - develop our farm system which is filled with talent and have the experienced players help the prospects adjust. The Jays have the talent and for the most part, we have great fans.
  8. just because coleman isn't able to hear as well as most, doesn't mean he can't hear things - most communication is without words and is by actions. coleman tuned out the doubt and hate. he is an inspiration to those who can and cannot hear. champions always find a way to tune out the doubters and the haters. go kal and go blue jays.
  9. hey "gordiedougie" you sound like those who wouldn't draft derrick coleman - one of those who thought he wasn't good enough. the hater's didn't stop him. he didn't listen. he is now a champion with with seattle seahawks. champions always find a way to win and to tune out the haters like you. go kal!
  10. kal and some young arms are coming up soon. the jays need to develop our prospects and this will lead to championships. youth plus experience is what will get us there. just look at the cardinals.
  11. pillar lite? didnt pillar make it thru the system quickly? BKal will also move up to play the outfield for the blue jays.
  12. like what you said angrioter. i agree. teams like the cardinals care about developing their players. look at last season when several players were called up and they helped them to the world series. blue jay fans should care to.
