And here's the 10,000+ people at the Rays game last night.. most of the fans are blue seats, because the Rays don't want to show a four-handle, because it'll get the 29 other owners to push to relocate the team sooner than when the lease expires:

To be fair that was the bot 9th with the team losing. Im still willing to bet there less than 5000 people at the game at any point in time.

BTS and TheHurl say: "That's a well run organization I can be proud of!"

Yes, because s***** attendance is a reflection of the Front Office. Amirite, Philadelphia?

Why is everyone picking at the Rays attendance now? They're not even in contention... and they haven't been all year. I would actually expect the attendance to be worse.

How could it possible get any worse? I'd be surprised if there were 1000 people in the stands when that shot was taken, if you blow that picture up you could probably do a head count.

Why shouldn't people be picking on the Rays attendance?

Just seems like an odd time to pick on them. They just gave up their ace and are not in contention. But looking a the historical data those things don't seem to matter.

People have been picking on the Rays attendance for years. What were seeing now is just how bad it gets when the Rays aren't winning. It seems unlikely that the Rays will ever have enough of a fan base to survive, they should have been moved years ago.

Yes, agreed, it does seem this way. Amazingly even when they are in contention there is almost no increase in attendance.

So since I had a flex pack the Blue Jays offerered the chance to buy playoff tickets in the event that it happened..For shits and giggles I thought I would see how much they cost. For 500 level seats to the ALDS is $120 each, ALCS $240 and World Series $500. You put Blue Jays fans through 20 years of mediocrity and then charge 200$ a seat for the crappiest seats at the dome? Seems fair.

That's brutal. You can watch a Yankees playoff game for $24, the same seat for a World Series game is $86. The most expensive seat listed for a WS game is $571.

I thought the Blue Jays prices were horrendous but where can you get a Yankees seat for 24$?

Those prices appear to be for tickets to the entire series. Anyhow, here's the link to the prices. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/ticketing/postseason_seating_map_and_prices.jsp

Despite the Jays loss last night, we only dropped .5 game in the standings, as Detroit stunk it up last night vs. the Giants, and the Mariners won.

Oh, and the A's continue to slide.. lead's now down to 2, and could be gone completely if the Mariners sweep the Rangers, and the A's get swept by the Astros.

I despise mediocrity.

At this point, I want the entirety of the AL East to finish under .500, with the last weekend being an embarrassing fight between 5 teams all within a game or so of each other. Basically, the Special Olympics of MLB, without the heart-warming aspect of unfortunately inherently lesser-abled people giving it their all.

As it turns out the best team in the majors maybe from AL East

A.L. East is not as bad as people make it out to be. Some are just mad the O's are the best team in the division while a top 10 team like the Red Sox is in last place and the vaunted Rays are in 4th. If the Rays and Red Sox were 1 and 2, not many would be calling it crappy.

So Jays fans, don't worry about last night's loss, Red Sox are a top 10 team...

Miguel Cabrera, still clearly battling that ankle injury, has just hit his second homer of the game, he practically reached for both homers. What a player.

And Casilla nails down the save. Tigers lose 5-4

It's crazy to say this but seems the Mariners are the team to beat in the WC.
