G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Filthy! I should have made a "Felix Hernandez is filthy" thread a week or so ago to jinx him LOL
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Kershaw is okay, but I'm not sure his stuff is as good as Aaron Sanchez's.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Kershaw is okay, but I'm not sure his stuff is as good as Aaron Sanchez's. Aaron Sanchez BABIP - .133 Clayton Kershaw BABIP - .285 That means Sanchez is better ... right?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Kershaw is okay, but I'm not sure his stuff is as good as Aaron Sanchez's. I'm not sure anyone is better than Wily Peralta.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Josh Sale is still doing stupid stuff and killing what could've been a good career: People here (well the last forum) were crying for us to sign him in 2010. Instead we got McGuire/Sanchez.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 There was a redemption article in January about Sale lol: http://www.foxsports.com/florida/story/rays-prospect-josh-sale-humbled-by-but-growing-from-past-mistakes-011514 He knows the past includes mistakes, but he can change how others throughout baseball and beyond view him. "At some point," Sale said, his hands stuffed in his jeans, "everybody has to grow up." ... Chances are, Sale will never convince each of his doubters that he's a more complex man than his mistakes show. Chances are, Sale's name will bring to mind moments no promising young player should want to duplicate early in his career. Chances are, Sale truly regrets it all. ... "It put a lot of stuff in perspective," he said. "It was humbling. It was a reality check." What was it like to receive the call telling him he was suspended? "It was demoralizing," he said. "But it's something my actions induced. It's nothing that could have been avoided." What a meathead.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 People here (well the last forum) were crying for us to sign him in 2010. Instead we got McGuire/Sanchez. And Syndergaard and Woj, who we turned into RA Dickey and JA Happ.. And before you say anything, Woj has a 6.22 ERA in AAA this year. And we all know about Syndergaard, who despite decent K numbers, still has command issues (.304 AVG in AAA) and was recently bypassed by Rafael Montero for a callup.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 And before you say anything ... don't. Syndergaard is pitching in the mothereffing PCL for chrissakes. He's 111/35 in 107.0 IP, all in the batter's dream that is the AAA PCL ... whilst Sanchez was 84/57 in 100.1 IP, mostly in AA. Remember who you are arguing with.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Lineup looks much better with Lind. Can't wait until EE is back.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Worst defense ever! A ball just dropped right near Carrera.. most CFs would catch that. Is anyone watching the Tigers/Pirates game on SN1?

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 This is what happens when you load up your team with Adam Dunns http://www.fangraphs.com/not/dangerous-experiment-a-roster-of-25-adam-dunns/

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Guy just can't catch a break. That's terrible. Reading on twitter that it is "just" a concussion, no other injuries. I guess we'll have to wait and see how severe it is.
Caper Verified Member Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 JP Arencebia just pitched a scoreless inning for Texas. The man can do it all.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Reading on twitter that it is "just" a concussion, no other injuries. I guess we'll have to wait and see how severe it is. Getting taken off the field in an ambulance because of a concussion does not sound even remotely promising.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 JP Arencebia just pitched a scoreless inning for Texas. The man can do it all. With the knuckleball lol. He always called breaking balls because he couldn't hit them, guess he figured he'd extend that to what he couldn't catch too.
