Brady Aiken, the #1 pick in the draft for the Astros, has an elbow issue and more than likely won't receive the 6.5mm negotiated a few weeks back.

I like the beard on Ricky man. Going through some things. He'll come out better for it. I don't if he'll ever seen the majors again but I hope he does.

Good god, Ricky looks bad, not just because he's injured. Looks like he's about to jump off a cliff, like these guys are there as an intervention.

Look at the guys house...I wouldn't be complaining lol

While he is a fat mess, I can hardly blame him for not wanting to be called as such on national TV and trying to work the system to his advantage.

New life plan: Become obese, move to the States and start rampantly suing people/organizations for their fatism.

Did they even call him fat/stupid on TV? The clip on the link didn't have anything along those lines.

"From the suit:

Announcers like Dan Shulman and John Kruck unleashed avalanche of disparaging words against the person of and concerning the plaintiff. These words, include but not limited to 'stupor, fatty, unintelligent, stupid' knowing and intending the same to be heard and listened to by millions of people all over the world ...

The defendant Major league Baseball continually repeated these vituperative utterances against the plaintiff on the major league baseball web site the next day. These words and its insinuations presented the plaintiff as symbol of anything but failure.

The defendant MLB.Com continued the onslaught to a point of comparing the plaintiff to someone of a confused state of mind, disgusted disgruntled and unintelligent and probably intellectually bankrupt individual."

That makes it sound like they did. I didn't actually watch the clip though.

Yeah, I read that then watched the clip and none of it was on there.

They never called him "unintelligent, fat and stupid" during the broadcast, as it states in the article. Shulman and Kruk were joking and having good fun, though they were not disrespectful.

Fatty probably just needs to get out of his stupor and go for a run then.

I can't see the guy getting $10 million from that - just crazy. MLB will offer him a free lifetime subscription to MLBTV Premium, and a 10 game Yankees flex pack, and he'll accept haha

It wasn't the announcers

It was comments posted online once the video was posted. They are holding mlb responsible for allowing those comments to be posted online and being the cause of the victim being defemated

lol

If successful it would set a precedence where this current websites owner can be sued for people calling Navarro fat

The next thing we know JPA is suing Zaun/Hayhurst and everyone who bashed him on Twitter.

I'd post this in the GDT, but since there isn't one yet:

Intangiburrs.

We're gonna get swept by the Angels, aren't we?

That would truly suck.
