Gomes has done the sucker punch thing more than a few times.

 

He did it to the Sox back when he was with the Rays...and he did it to Shelly Duncan on a Spring Training game back when he was with the Yankees. He usually comes out of nowhere running and punches you or pushes you from the back. Hate that coward.

That's f***ing stupid, if the opportunity presents itself, why not steal the base? If you're gonna complain that the other team is beating you up too badly then just give up. If anything, it's more condescending if they're not trying because it looks like they're writing you off.
