As we get closer to spring training, and if we make any significant moves, we're going to be having new members joining.

Some of the members are going to be new to the Jays, some might not see the game differently than others, and have a different opinion.

We want this board to grow, and in order to grow we have to welcome new members, whether they've been a fan for 10 years, or 10 days.

What we don't need is someone jumping all over them if they make a bad post, suggestion, question, proposal, etc... then another 20

guy here jumping in on it. It's happened before, it makes the board look like s***, it makes it look like this is a small gang of stuck up snobs

that think they know everything. And yes, I've been the captain of the ******* boat before, so I do know it can be frustrating.

But as I mentioned, we want this board to grow. We want there to be new posts, new discussions, and new ideas. But if everyone jumps

down the throat of someone with a different opinion, new members will probably just leave and never come back.

We have an incredibily intelligent fanbase here, I'm willing to bet there maybe one or two teams that know the game inside and out, from

the minors to the majors like we do here, but it can always be bigger.

Our goal is to have this the biggest and best Jays board, period. Don't give people a reason to go back to that piece of garbage MLB board.

Thank you

While the OP is right..its also tough that a portion (even maybe good portion) of "new" posters really aren't.

A good thing to have when the board gets rolling is to make a separate thread for WAR debates. Old school/new school I mean. Just move all offending posts so threads don't get ruined or get repetitive. People cam argue or explain there. Also maybe make a JPA support thread as that's the other troll bait

I see what you're saying but that's mainly segregation based on whether or not you agree or disagree with someone. I would prefer a better ignore feature where I don't see a giant message letting me know. Or even a sticky thread inviting newbies to lurk a while first before posting to get a feel for the board and it's personalities so they know how to start off without being perceived as nothing more than a cheerleader

I've decided to state the obvious here, this board has a few problem childs ( actually some are literally children ) and they dominate the forum content and more importantly the mood here. I had thought that the bad season the Jays had contributed somewhat to this, but I happened upon the Leafs thread today. The same negativity all over it from many of the same people.

Here's the thing. The Leafs have been highly successful rebuilding their team that was arguably one of the least talented and veteran teams 4 years ago. Everything that this board supposably relishes ( good use of draft picks, more youthful team, good fit acquisitions, acquiring players from winning programs ) has been successfully implemented by the hockey team. Its an extremely well put together team, built from almost nothing not long ago.

I was shocked that most of the crew here couldn't see this. Which suggests to me that negativity as a sport is the theme on this site. The fact the Jays had a bad year just makes it easier to spew the venom.

It is with great irony that some of the kids on here launched into the usual insults and acting smart when they clearly waded into topics they know almost nothing at all about. It illustrates that most of their "knowledge" is extremely superficial in nature and lacks a depth of analysis that anyone who has experience in a related field can recognize almost immediately. The jokes on them really, and long term this site will always be nothing much of anything as long as they have a prominant ( dominant ? ) voice on here.

as long as a person is reasonable i'm ok with them. it's the people that say 'this team is s***, fire gibby' day to day without offering anything of substance that drive me crazy. wilnercibia was notorious for this s*** and what bothers me the most is how people flip/flop constantly when the jays are doing good

You're like the most combative dick on this whole board. Way to fight the power, man.

Just wanted to say, you're the best troll on this board. You've almost perfected the tone and subtlety needed to rile up the Lifers on here without making it obvious what you're doing to them, and that is to be commended. That Moh You hack is absolutely nothing compared to you, and I'm not being snarky or ironic or anything, I'm completely serious when I say this. Keep up the good work.

On the other hand, if you're not trolling and are being genuine, please disregard this message.

I like to think he's being genuine. But then again, that's probably just a part of his troll act.

As I said, he's certainly hitting all the right notes if he IS trolling this place. I appreciate a good troll, it's a form of performance art in my opinion.

And, again, that Moh You guy (obviously that dogg dude) is a pile of s***, aren't you Mohammad? Yes, yes you are.

He only really pushes the buttons of like two people. We've had better trolls.

Who was that guy that was jaysnhabs' biggest admirer?

MohYou said the other day

Hmm..

The writing style is exactly the same, it practically jumps off the page as being the same guy. He followed people to the new board to try to troll them in the same failtastic fashion here after they all left the old one, I'm struggling to come up with a better definition of pathetic. Oh, and I bet he has a tiny penis, too.

He's 8; his brain still continues to grow ............... Like his microscopic penis

I now agree with BTS. You're probably the best poster on this board.

Not even remotely subtle IQ brag post.

The proper term is "thinly veiled," get with it. You also missed the obvious fishing for compliments. I say I'm not smart and all my adoring fans come crying, "GD, you're so smart, we love you!"

And by my adoring fans I mean King and my mom.

Who is RogersIsSatan?

That's a username on here? I haven't been around much since the season ended, never seen him post here. You're on your own in solving THAT particular mystery. Zero points for originality for his name, though. I thought we'd started to bury the whole "Bogers is cheap!" meme since we decided to build the oldest, veteraniest, most expensivest 5th-place team in the Major League of Baseballs.

Was Wilnercibia on the old board? Is he that Clowntista fello? Clojojo? Clomero?

Or are these all dogg

RogersIsSatan was on the old board, came here, got banned, came back as Wilnercibia. Cowntista is Clojojo is Clomero.

They're all dogg.

I remember when Wilnercibia called into Jaystalk. That was funny

That was pretty glorious. Still not sure if he said homer or homo.

Remember that Metallijay guy? And DH12?

Metallijay was just a prick, as is DH12, who is still around.
