Stroman upset at no call-up.. what a crybaby!

Stroman on not being called up:

 

“That feeling of being overlooked bothers me like nothing else,” Stroman tweeted Monday night. “I’m hungry! If you’re not starving, I can’t relate.”

 

Well, despite what he wants and you fans want--it is best for him to come into Spring Training to earn a roster spot. Remember, he doesn't need to be on the 40 until next year--putting him on now starts his service clock.

 

Plus, he is better suited getting time in AAA next year before even getting a callup--we can't afford to keep rushing young pitchers. Ditto for Nolin--despite the MLB callup earlier this year, it was out of desperation due to the injury bug.

Sorry--but until he pitches in AAA, he doesn't deserve a callup. Nolin didn't get called up either, as he also needs more time in AAA.

 

On good orgs like the Rays, their pitching prospects actually have to get experience in AAA before getting consideration--is it a wonder they've developed so many good pitchers in recent years?

To be perfectly honest I was a bit surprised Stroman's tweet. If Digibladder is indeed that High85 guy from the old board I hope he is perm banned.

I had a few drinks and got annoyed by NJH's reported post messages. I considered banning him too

Stroman must know they are protecting his arm. It's for his best interest. After all the arm troubles Jays had in recent years...not like it isn't obvious. Plus, they would waste another spot on the 40 this winter. If Jays were in pennant race be more incentive for them to rush a good arm. But why this year?

Hell, I'd be pissed too if I had that season and they still took Ricky "I can't hit the broad side of a barn" Romero over me.

 

From what I hear, he's just a competitive young man and more or less means that he's upset about not getting a call but will come into ST next year and try to blow them away and force their hand.

time out. digiblader got banned for posting something stroman said and his opinion on it?

 

actually I banned him for starting a thread about a tweet that had been posted (by me) in two other threads, that and I was drunk. I like his schtick but he annoys a lot of guys here. We'll talk about it on the mods forum and decide if he'll be back.

Well you don't risk getting thrown out and leaving nobody on base with one out. At least a failed bunt still has a guy on base. And when you ask Rajai to lay down a bunt, you're pretty much asking for failure.
