Looks like Boni is getting the start tonight in LF. Maybe some team wants a look at him?

Probably a team in Singapore.

More likely Melky is on his way out.

If that was true then it's more likely that Davis would be in there tonight instead of Boni (although both could be gone I suppose).

Our front office is infuriating. If they don't trade a reliever because they think we need the pen intact for next years WS run I'm gonna go ballistic

You know nothing. AA is the man brah,

AA will keep those damn relievers to compete next year with our awful rotation, the worst catcher in baseball and a LF who can't walk.

My 'Preemptive Trade Celebration Thread' got deleted. Wanted to say:

I will accept the outcome of the ban decision. Though I'm not keen on returning to the old forum, it's awful there!!

If this was the old board I would have gone full troll and posted like 5 rage threads in a row. I still might...

It's not even a forum anywhere. Just the life and works of the dogg.

It's a complete freak show, and not an ounce of tangible baseball discussion to be found :(

Have you guys ever seen the movie Street Fighter? Bison kidnaps Guile's best friend. Puts him in a machine and forces him to watch horror and destruction over and over again and turns him into a monster killing machine. We should do that with Bonifacio force him to watch his 2011 season highlies when he was actually useful. 40 stolen bases and a .360 OBP. Aliens must of kidnapped him. How did he do that. He has one of the worst plate approaches I have ever seen.

If they don't move a bullpen arm, I'll be fully supportive of this.

Gibbons f***ing *******, shut your stupid mouth and leaves Alex do his job.

Oliver needs to be moved. Already missed out trading him to Atlanta or Cleveland. Makes no sense to keep him, even if we get nothing but cash in return.

I can understand one season wonder for batting average or homerun power. But not on base percentage.

You can't steal the first baseman. If you can't reach the base then you can't steal bases.

A friend of mine from Cleveland says that the Indians are talking about moving AA 2b/SS Ronny Rodriguez for a LH reliever. Depending on the reliever, someone would add something.

This is a fast rising kid who could be MLB ready next year. Lots of raw power, especially for a middle infielder and his K rate has gone way down this year. Dangle Cecil!

As much as I feel the front office should have made some moves during this season, it's less annoying then the absurd trade ideas and general level

of whining on this forum. What I've seen so far is compared to most seasons, the "buyers" are kind of ripping off the "sellers" in most of the trades.

So it could be that AA hasn't made moves because he's facing a strange trading market.

What I would criticize AA on is not moving redundancies and expiring contracts that cannot help them in 2014. If he did indeed get rid of Cabrera, to me its like the Bargniani trade a really good "addition by subtraction" move. And there are teams like Texas that are desperate for hitting help and maybe if the price is too high on better guys they are willing to take on some salary ( plus maybe a moderate prospect ) to get Cabrera.

Even after today's trade with the cards?

White Sox, D'Backs, Angels Discussing Three-Team Trade

By Steve Adams [July 30 at 7:50pm CST]

The White Sox, Angels and Diamondbacks are discussing a three-team trade that would send Jake Peavy to Arizona and Ian Kennedy to Anaheim, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick (on Twitter). The Diamondbacks reportedly emerged as the front-runners for Peavy earlier today, and the Angels have been connected to Kennedy as well. Crasnick notes that it's not clear what Chicago would receive in the trade at this time.

Peavy is earning $14.5MM in 2013 and 2014, while Kennedy has about $1.4MM remaining on this year's $4.27MM salary and is controllable through 2015 via arbitration. The D'Backs have been prioritizing pitching help, reportedly kicking the tires on Bud Norris in addition to Peavy. The Angels, meanwhile, view Kennedy as a buy-low candidate that they can control for multiple years, according to reports from earlier today. The White Sox scratched Peavy from his scheduled start tonight earlier today in order to eliminate the risk of an injury that would take a trade off the table.

Listening to who may move tonight...put some names together; 3 team trade.

Blue Jays - Carlos Martinez, Howie Kendrick, Hank Conger, CJ Wilson, Cory Rasmus

Angels - Bautista, Buehrle, Arencibia, Janssen

Cardinals - Aybar, Oliver

Peavy perhaps, those guys aren't good enough for Lee or Headley. Probably something else entirely though.

That lines up with what Peavy would probably cost, also something the Jays cant match unless they include Sanchez.
