Bautista, Encarnacion, hell, even Reyes could get us SOMETHING worthwhile in return, along with selling off the bullpen. "Retooling" is useless when your core is fundamentally flawed.

The Cubs are going to be a force pretty soon. Theo and Hoyer have nailed it so far.

 

Rizzo/Olt/Bryant/Castro/Baez/Almora has the potential to be a very nice lineup in 2-3 years. They can probably spin off E-Jax and Soriano for some decent prospects too, and they'll have tons of payroll to reload in FA while tanking for a very high pick next year.
