digiblader Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Edwin's been named to the all star team as a reserve.
BabbaGanoush Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Delabar in the final vote!
BabbaGanoush Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Surprised that donaldson didnt make it.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 4 potential All stars on a sub .500, last place team. Could have been 5 with Lind getting the vote over Fielder. Speaks volumes about managements ability to fill out the roster with decent, cheap options. Such a talent top heavy team.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Surprised that donaldson didnt make it. He always going to be the main snub though. Plays for Oakland, isn't lighting it up in any one stat, boring name, etc. Has a freaking 154 wRC+ though...
oakville69 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Good News!. He deserves it. Last year he was demoted to the minors.
over500 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Delabar is gonna get annihilated in that poll.
oakville69 Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Holy s*** Cecil made it!!! So incredibly well-deserved for all three. This is great. Very true. Two of the three All Star Jays were sent to the minors before recovering. Ricky Romero All Star 2014???
8D Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Congrats to Jose starting in the game and Cecil for f***ing making it! Well earned as well to EE. I wonder if someone can setup like an easy script or something and then attach to a botnet and auto vote Delabar like crazy. lol And f*** yeah to Colon for making it too! hahah
Jays Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Delabar is gonna get annihilated in that poll. Who?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Yeah delete this and the EE thread. I combined all three
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 It's a bunch of non-closer relievers, I think he has a great shot. No Orioles for their fans to go crazy on either. Benoit closes, I dont see him losing.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Honestly.. What would've the odds been that Cecil would make the AS game before the season. Like 1000/1?
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Can't believe we actually got something valuable for Thames lol.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Honestly.. What would've the odds been that Cecil would make the AS game before the season. Like 1000/1? Smaller. Way smaller.
bzapple Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 That's really odd that Longoria didn't make it. He's a pretty huge star in the American League.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Still might get in as injury replacements though--there's still a week.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Just this one time, I hope the baseball world obsesses over the win stat and votes Delabar in for his 5 Wins.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 We should make one ASG thread. I was wondering where my thread went lol
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 That's what happens when you play in a league with Cabrera and Machado I guess. Although they let in Zobrist as the fourth 2B on the roster, surely they could have fit in another 3B instead of Zobrist. Yes, but to be fair, Zobrist is super utility. He could be used at 3B, 2B, SS, OF etc. Not a bad player to round out the roster with.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 4 potential All stars on a sub .500, last place team. Could have been 5 with Lind getting the vote over Fielder. Speaks volumes about managements ability to fill out the roster with decent, cheap options. Such a talent top heavy team. You know what's interesting though? We have 2 batters and a relief pitcher reach the ASG and we have another relief pitcher in the final vote. No starters were even considered, and that's what's holding us back. On a side note, it's interesting to see Delebar get final vote over Janssen
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 No starters were even considered, and that's what's holding us back. True, although they pretty much got us that 11 game win streak in June. I think we've been equally mediocre on both sides. Were middle of the pack in both hitting and pitching. We are what we are right now; a mediocre team with a mediocre record.

The problem is we gave up our future to have them pitch like the 11 game win steak throughout the season lol
