admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Derosa Maicer Boni All should be gone. If you're hovering around .200 you should be gone.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Derosa Maicer Boni All should be gone. If you're hovering around .200 you should be gone. Edwin 1B Utley 2B Reyes SS Lawrie 2B Kawasaki, Davis, a catcher for bench
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 No Utley... they should blow it up at the deadline and get younger. Unless Cliff Lee comes with Utley of course...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 One half of the team is trying to keep the team afloat (Bautista, Eddy, Lind, Reyes, Rogers, Buehrle, Rasmus and the bullpen) and the rest is sinking them. AA has done a lot of stupid things and has a case of bad luck (Johnson, Morrow, Lawrie and Dickey). I think they finish around .500 and AA comes back. Strange f***ing year Yep I blame AA for the weak bats I cut him some slack for the starting rotation - who would ever think all these guys would underperform so badly
bowld Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Signed. So sick of the scrubs on this team costing us games due to horrid defensive play. We better wake up and go on another 7-10 game streak pretty soon or this season's history
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 No Utley... they should blow it up at the deadline and get younger. Unless Cliff Lee comes with Utley of course... Of course. Utley is a throw in.
admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I get keeping Maicer - he's still owed like $7.5 million and you don't want to pay him to rediscover his game somewhere else. The other two are absurd though. DeRosa never should have been signed, and Boni doesn't have the track record or the financial commitment to warrant more than a half season leash. Both need to be dropped ASAP. Vizquel all over again. Grow some balls and get these f***ing guys off the team. Kawasaki should be playing 2B, he atleast has an OBP over .270.
admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Its exactly another Vizquel situation. I really think the issue is that AA doesn't get the concept of replacement level performance. He sees Vizquel make the odd play. DeRosa get the odd big hit, and thinks "those wily vets are contributing to the team when they get in there". He's not seeing that Vizquel and DeRosa cost the team 1-2 wins a season over an adequate bench player. He's just not aware of this. I think it's more of a case of, "This guy hit .300(etc.) a few years ago, he's going to turn it around any day now."

He assembled this "all in" team and he should pay the price for it's failings.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 so many liked him in the off season. There were a bunch of threads like this. http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&webtag=ml-bluejays&tid=87239 What a bunch of turncoats!
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Derosa Maicer Boni All should be gone. If you're hovering around .200 you should be gone. Agreed.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Just wanted to pop back in to make sure its unanimous We're all on board for dumping this plug correct?

mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I have a bigger issue with management and the coaching staff for tolerating Bonifacio than I do with him and same goes with JPA Couldn't agree more
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 And why the heck didn't Kawasaki hit for DeRosa in the 9th?
mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Derosa Maicer Boni All should be gone. If you're hovering around .200 you should be gone. Totally agree
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 let Troy Gloss beat him like a pinata. then DFA his ass
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Derosa Maicer Boni All should be gone. If you're hovering around .200 you should be gone. JPA is hovering around 200 as well. Kawasaki's average is almost as high as Boni's OBP
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I doubt there would be a single complaint on this fourum if any one of Boni/JPA/De Rosa/Izturis got moved tomorrow. Can't say I'd miss any one of them.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Boni's annoying smug demeanor is so much more irritating than JPA's misplaced arrogance IMO It's a tossup. I think Boni at least tries, but hasn't got the parts to pull it off. JPA is just a total arrogant doofus.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 And why the heck didn't Kawasaki hit for DeRosa in the 9th? And why the heck didn't Kawasaki hit for Bonifacio in the 3rd?

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Keeping this one at the top until justice is served Man, why all the negativity! Bonifacio is bound to turn it around any... I can't even finish that sentence.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 There must be a team that could use a pinch runner for the playoffs that would give us a long shot A baller, I'm all for this. He would be valuable in that role for a playoff team, strictly pinch running.
