Morrow and Romero are the guys to be pissed at, IMO. These 2 guys' struggles/injuries are f***ing up this team. And since we're at it, why the f*** hasn't Lawrie played in like 4 days? I know he had a family wedding, but f*** that, he needed the playing time, what a joke!

AA has been at the helm what 3 full years now and we still dont have even one cost effective/consistant starter?

Maybe a bit off topic, but when was the last time Anthopolous spoke to the media (fan590, SN, etc)?

I haven't seen or heard of one in a while.

Really only once this whole season that I can recall

He's been very, very quiet

Odd. Because didn't he also used to mention how he never would turn down fan590 interviews or something?

But the way this season has been going, maybe he thought it would be better to keep quiet.

Shame though, I'd like to hear about what he thinks about everything.

I don't listen to the Fan at all but a few people have posted a couple of quick interviews he's done. Then of course when the streak was happening he was right back there in front of the cameras. Right now the attendance increases are there and I can tell you that I tried to get a September tickets for the Fan Appreciation game and I got all the way over in 507 cause I wanted front row. The ticket sales are still going well so I think AA is just going to sit back and say as little as possible.

Who even cares anymore though? It's not like Anthony f***ing Gose, Roberto Osuna, and that A ball pitcher with the big ears are going to make any significant difference to the long term fortunes of the Blue Jays.

It's now or never at this point, due to some terrible, terrible decisions that have already been made. Might as well trade all the interesting pups for some big time big league s***. Cliff Lee would be fun as hell to watch. Utley would be like a 2-3 win upgrade at 2B ROS.

Agreed they've already made their bed and theres no way they wont try a few more big time moves to get this thing righted.

It sucks because after this 2-3 year window things are going to look bleak but whats done is done and people should be prepared for more prospects being jettisoned for win now players.

I'm really not sure why people are surprised there is more money available? I have been saying it for a while but most seemed to think it wasn't even a possibility. This team is doing well rating and attendance wise and even with their s***** start and overall pathetic season in terms of initial expectations, fans are still supporting this team. This is an enormous marketing tool at Rogers disposal.

They will continue to push forward, raise payroll and trade prospects. Another big acquisition and they probably see another jump in attendance/ratings for 2014.

In yesterday's Toronto Star they reported that the Jays are averaging 511K viewers. The home opener drew 1.3 million. If the Jays were winning ratings would be about 1 million. Attendance is very good. I would expect that Rogers is willing to spend more money to keep the team competitive & interest strong. It would be foolish from a business perspective to go into a "rebuild mode". before 2015.

Exactly. The team has to get into the playoffs by 2015. If not, AA & Beeston will likely be fired. A rebuild could begin in 2016.

So should we be cheering for them to miss the playoffs then? I guess so. Maybe?

I've heard him on the Fan and Sportsnet probably 3-5 times each this year, he definitely hasn't been as out there as before but, he also hasn't been hiding. Personally, I think it's because he brought in star players, the kind of guys that steal media attention.

This team is all in and they will push forward. The question isn't 'if' they make a big trade, the question is for 'who' will it be.

And who they give up....

I think a rebuild will have to begin by 2016 no matter what happens. They're 'all in' now and will probably add more pieces to try to win.
