connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I guess it kinda shows Casey needed to go. Lebron now 4-4 (with a few spankings) against other teams and 4-0 against Toronto this postseason. Bos and Ind both play with high intensity on both ends/very physical , move the ball well, and don’t look timid at all against the Cavs. Pretty much opposite of Tor

From the half of the game I saw, Lebron and the Cavs were absolutely terrible more than Boston being great.

I was scared of them coming in. I’ll still take James but I think it’s going at least 6 (which isn’t really saying much now)

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 The Caps, all but took this series, taking two in Tampa is boss.

Caper Verified Member Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Somehow dumping DeRozan and Ibaka and signing Rondo and Cousins would be a real nice offseason! Rondo would also help free up Lowry to be more of a shooting guard. No. The team would still suck.
onwego Verified Member Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 hope one of the 8 semi-final games doesn't end up to be a laugher.... 2 easypeasy wins so far...
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Looks like Boston is getting motivated Lebron tonight.
onwego Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Delete after 9 minutes a dog of a game.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Cavs destroying Boston again, who are looking completely lost and frustrated.
onwego Verified Member Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Would be nice to have one game this round that was worth watching more than the first six minutes
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Bos hanging around Yeah, they've been outplayed, but the Cavs started getting lazy for a bit. Might at least make for a non-trivial finish to the game for once.
onwego Verified Member Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 In a game 7 both teams shoud putatively care to try their best and not mail it in?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Jesus. Takes like 15m to review a technical foul
onwego Verified Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Used to be just watch the last five minutes of an NBA game. Now just watch the first five minutes because one team is probably mailing it in, especially in the playoffs

Now just watch the first five minutes because one team is probably mailing it in, especially in the playoffs Definitely been disappointing in terms of lacking close games.. But that wouldn’t be a good assessment of a game like last night. The score was even I believe quarters 2-4 so that doesn’t suggest “packing it in” to me. Another way to look at it is when a team gets up double digits, maybe they stay focused a bit more as it’s the playoffs. You can’t allow those big runs early on. Anyways, last night was just another example of how Boston is the better team. Cleveland really struggled to make anything happen on offense. Lots of bad shots, missed open looks, and sloppy ball handling

Lots of bad shots, missed open looks, and sloppy ball handling It was double-digits after the first quarter, one team took a dump on the game, what a disgrace, they can't even bother to care during layup line. I have absolutely no clue what will happen when LeBron chooses to show up as well as Boston. Should be a great game. A few years ago in the Stanley Cup Final the Canucks and Bruins had a who-cares pact for 6 games with the away team dogging it. Then the Bruins showed up for game 7 in Vancouver.

Again, I think Cleveland held Boston to 30%-something from the field, so your analysis that Cleveland just didn’t care is pretty stupid. Your ability to think probably isn’t the greatest I’d imagine

Your ability to think probably isn’t the greatest I’d imagine Yes, how could I think LeBron wasn't going to give 100% on a given night? he dogf---s half the games away, which is perfectly fine in this day and age you just quoted a dumb stat for a game where one team didn't really care at all? is this what you do with your life????
onwego Verified Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 And Toronto fans are EXPERTS on a team completely quitting out there. The Raptors couldn't have possibly cared less for the 2nd half of game 2 and the whole of game 4 with the Cavs.

When a team packs it in, it’s going to show in the defensive statistics. I understand this is apparently beyond your limited grasp. It’s fine as the world needs stupid people too. As for what I do for my life, I certainly don’t cry about some team packing it in, especially when it’s clearly not the case. So I’d imagine life may not be going so great, eh? I’ve actually listened to a number of commentators on the game and I haven’t heard one person question the Cavs effort. They just suck. And yeah, Lebron looked tired but that’s not not caring. He’s one of the all-time greats because he has the same drive Kobe and Michael did. He’s in year 15 and has logged more mins than anyone in the NBA this year and they just changed from multi-days between games to 2 days break switching cities. He’ll be back.
onwego Verified Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 This is a good stat of the 56 playoff games so far in the NBA when a team built a 20-point first quarter lead, 46 times so far, they always won the game
