burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Norman Powell has allowed his opponent he's guarding to shoot 8.2% higher than their average. Just saying the numbers... http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/1626181/tracking/defense/
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Cousins would be such a good fit for the Raps. Have to think he'd cost JV, Powell, Siakam/Poertle, 1st pick. Maybe more.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Well we wouldn't be giving Siakam or Poeltl as well as JV. They already have Caulie-Stein and other bigs. I'd rather do Ross for Noel, but I'd be down for JV+Ross+Powell+1st or something like that, more would be fine.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Siakam plays the 4 so doesn't really depend on JV. I mean in general I think they'd rather guards than big men, but I also don't think Siakam has *that* much value. Obviously doesn't have as much as Poeltl.

SAC could get a better deal in terms of star potential from another team. Raps have a lot of high floor/low ceiling young players.

The Nuggets, Jokic (they shouldn't)? I honestly can't think of many young, high-calibre centerpieces for a trade that the Kings would want and that would be feasibly available. I could see Philly swooping in with something s***** like Okafor+Saric and Sacramento being Sacramento. That'd make me so mad

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 How are the refs looking to screw the Raptors over here?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Are you f***ing kidding me? They're going to overturn the shot? What the actual f***? If it wasn't obvious that NBA refs were looking to completely screw them over, wow.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Man f*** that, that's horseshit.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Are you f***ing kidding me? They're going to overturn the shot? What the actual f***? If it wasn't obvious that NBA refs were looking to completely screw them over, wow. That's a garbage call... I don't see how they're supposed to judge perfectly how late the clock started on the inbounds.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 f*** as if. Raps seem to always get the s*** end of the stick in Sacremento.
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Holy f***. That is unbelievable.

I don't see how they're supposed to judge perfectly how late the clock started on the inbounds. Yeah you would have to account for Human Error. I get that he didn't start it in time but if its off by 0.2 seconds like come on.. If its a full second then sure don't count it but tenths of a second?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 There's no way they even look if we're Cleveland and Lebron takes that shot. Complete ********. Heck, I don't think they even look at that if Carmelo Anthony takes that shot. The Raptors as usual getting the s*** end of the stick.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Shouldn't they have to reset the clock and do the play over again? Because the players wouldn't know what the game clock should have been..
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I wonder what the fallout will be from this. I don't know how they can suggest the clock Ross sees has no merit. Replay the possession at the very least.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 That was literally the most f***ed up single decision I've ever seen to decide the outcome of a basketball game. How in the world could that be determined definitive evidence to overturn that bucket? I'm really looking forward to the NBA explanation for this, because this could honestly be applied to every game going forward that has a last second buzzer beating shot, and would assure there would be a ton of overturned calls just on the basis of human error starting the clock.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 So if Raps win appeal how do the play the OT considering the season matchup is over?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 So if Raps win appeal how do the play the OT considering the season matchup is over? They won't win an appeal. At best the league will say they messed up and they're sorry.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 They won't win an appeal. At best the league will say they messed up and they're sorry. Yup. Luckily for the Raptors, they're still a good team in the Eastern Conference and this won't really affect them too much. Really sets a bad precedent though, when already the majority of the fanbase thinks the team is continually screwed over by the league/refs, this just adds more fuel to the fire and in a big way.
43211234 Verified Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 A somewhat similar play happened in a college game tonight: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/18101192/michigan-state-holds-game-ending-clock-error-spoils-fgcu-last-second-shot
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Why are you guys even mad..this happens to the raptors every month.
