burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Sportsnet in full form missing game action while showing nothing. Reminds me of the Jays.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Showing graphics when the ball is in play... who's in charge of this broadcast?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Lmao, the hell were you expecting Teague?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Get out the salami and cheese mama, this ball game is ova!
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Almost 130 pts on the rd. WoW.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Raps win and the Leafs might get a point or 2 in Pitts> WoW
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Shows you how good this team can be on offence when everyone plays to their potentail. Lowry was the only guy to have less than 50% FG% and he contributed with 13 assists.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Btw...Hawks were 5-1 at home before this (although they were in the 2nd half of a BTB)
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 There's like really no point in watching the Reg season anymore. 15 games in and they've pretty much locked up the division.

See you in April then lol. I don't know about you, but this brand of basketball sure is fun to watch.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Whats more surprising in the NY-Dal game? Jose Calderon with 10 REB or Chandler with 25?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Whats more surprising in the NY-Dal game? Jose Calderon with 10 REB or Chandler with 25? I think the most surprising thing is NY took Dallas to OT, lol edit: without Melo too

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Melo is such an overrated player. Still by far their most important
baseballsss Verified Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Still by far their most important He's a selfish POS
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 He's a selfish POS So is Kobe yet everyone has worshipped him for years.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Hands-bro probably gonna see his minutes cut dramatically with how good Hayes has been playing. Hans + a pick for a backup centre who can rebound please (Hickson).
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) I think keeping Jonas is the treadmill move. He is what he is at this point, a great rebounder, efficient offensive player with a low usage and IMO a poor defender. From committing dumb fouls to allowing opposing big men to do whatever they want ( i.e Gasol the same basic hook shot 4-5 times in a row). Obviously Val isn't a weak link when he's out there but he isn't the type of big to put us over the hump. Hortford isn't quite either but we're probably only 1 piece away after that from being on the same level as the Bulls and Cavs. There are better players out there that would fit our team,.Gibson, Asik, Jordan all come to mind. Hortford though is the only one I can see being moved. Jonas: 22.1 PER .587 FG% 125 ORtg 101 DRtg Jonas has every single tool needed to become an elite centre. It's 100% confidence with this guy. If Casey actually sticks with him (which he appears to be doing now) he will be just fine Edited November 27, 2014 by eastcoastjaysfan
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) Pretty crazy to think that with a moderately better free throw performance against Miami and a better 3rd quarter against Chicago this team could be undefeated. Meanwhile, Rose leaves ANOTHER game with hamstring tightness and the Wizards get beaten easily by the Cavs. Way too early to say the east is ours to lose but we can build up a massive lead early on at this rate. THIS TEAM IS NOW 54-24 (.692%) IN REGULAR SEASON GAMES SINCE TRADING RUDY GAY. Edited November 27, 2014 by eastcoastjaysfan

You realize almost every raptor has great Offensive ratings and great defensive ratings right? Vasquez has a 92 def rating despite being the worst defender on the team. Jonas still does every good that I've acknowledged and doesn't do everything that I've criticized him on. He has a 110/103.5 this season, not sure where you're getting 125/101. Those are pretty insane. Jonas actually has the worst net rating on the team, not including the three guys who don't play.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Ya'll know what I think of Jonas already, I'm sure lol. He does struggle with his rotations and mental lapses but at some point Casey is going to need to give him consistent 4th Q minutes. Record isn't everything right now and he needs in-game reps to improve on these things. He sat for the final 17+ minutes again last night

It's an investment in the future. We're going to need JV late in games during the playoffs. You have to get him as many reps as possible now.

If we run into the Wizards for example in the playoffs, I think we will definitely need JV to win that series. Bulls too, most likely

He sat for the final 17+ minutes again last night He's been making the same mistakes despite playing 3+ years of professional basketball. It's not a coincidence that our team suddenly gets better defensively when he isnt in the game. He;s fine for what he is, he's pretty much untouchable at this point baring a massive return but he isn't an elite big men in the league and I have no idea why you guys keep thinking he magically will turn into an all star. I can name 10 big guys who will still be a better big than him off the top of my head by next all star break Last night was a pretty perfect example of how an elite big man outplayed him. Like I praise him for the things he does well, it would be AWESOME if SOMEONE ( NOT GONNA SAY WHO) would actually acknowledge the things he doesnt do well.

I would disagree with you on he's doing the same things wrong. His individual defense is improved, his efficiency is improved, his rebounding rates have improved etc. He plays 24 mpg and gets nearly a double-double. There are many teams that would covet him in a trade. Honestly if this is how it's going to be in the Casey era, they may as well look into trading him since he's going to make 10+ million on his extension. Someone playing 25>mpg isn't worth 10 million per season

Someone playing 25>mpg isn't worth 10 million per season His pick and roll defense is still pretty mediocre, as is his low post defense. His ball screening at times is a joke, he just simply stands there like a pylon without actually doing anything. I think the number is something around -8 or -9 per 100 possessions that the Raptors are while he's on the court compared to every other lineup. That's pretty telling. He's honestly like the anti Amir Johnson. Puts up the numbers without doing the smaller things while he's on the floor. Like you said he's going to get paid because there aren't many quality big men in the league who are available, but I think you should try and watch guys like Marc Gasol, Noah, Asik, Chandler, Horward, Horford, Hibbert more. This is what the whole argument with some started from.
