No wonder the Raptors declined that offer, lol. Kyle Lowry was also involved. Sixers would've made out like bandits.

Daryl Morey is leaking the most laughable and implausible trade packages imaginable to jack up Simmons’ perceived value. He’d be lucky to get CJ McCollum straight up or Lowry and a future 1st for Simmons. We saw what we saw, the kid is an extremely depressed asset.

Simmons has some serious Giannis-like upside. He’s just been too cocky/stubborn to develop his game. I think this year will act as a wake up call. We’ll see. Seems like a guy that would call Toronto a home long term too (unlike KL). I’d be for something as Raps fan

Fine. Definitely a stretch but he just needs to develop as much as Giannis did with his shot and he can be a guy that scores 25ppg easy along with some more boards. He has freakish athletic ability, just maybe not AS freakish as Giannis

I would have thought Detroit would accept that in a heartbeat.

Yeah SGA will need to get paid soon but nobody in the NBA gets paid under market for as many years as they do in MLB. You only hope Cade turns into a player of SGA's caliber.

Of the last 8 1st overall picks, SGA is clearly better than 3 of them (Anthoy Bennett, Wiggins, Fultz), probably better than Deandre Ayton, debatably better than Ben Simmons, probably worse than KAT and definitely worse than Zion Williamson. Anthony Edwards could develop but SGA I think has the better career.

SGA and pick #6 seems very solid for the #1 pick.

I think some suspect that SGA is simply able to post those big numbers because he's on a s***** team (see Love, Kevin on the Timberwolves). Most probably don't see him as a franchise player who you can build a contender around (which explains why OKC would offer that deal). I'm assume most of that as I don't keep up to speed on efficiency ratings and other advanced metrics in the NBA (which may suggest he's a f***ing stud you should build around).

SGA is looking like a stud you build around. At age 22 he had a monster offensive season this year. The only guards with a better True Shooting % were Steph Curry, Zach Lavine and Bryn Forbes (only taking 7.6 shots per game). Dame Lillard has the same TS%.

Gilgeous-Alexander only played 35 games this year but he looks super promising.

I actually wouldn't mind taking a chance on Simmons. He's a PF/C being forced to play more traditional PG because of Philly's roster, and it's hindering his game. Keep him in the low post offensively. He can't do that in Philly because he'd clog up the paint from Embiid. If the Raptors had a lineup of FVV, Suggs, OG, and a stretch big at center (Boucher or preferably a starting caliber C who can shoot), then Simmons would be completely in his element. Can Nurse fix him? Who knows, but he's never been in a player development oriented org, and he's never been used to his strengths. It might be worth the gamble if the cost is reasonable (and despite Morey's insanity, his asking price will eventually drop).

Shocking turn of events. They're gonna pick the remaining member of the big 4 at pick #4?

I think Suggs is there at #4 and I think he'll be a great fit/player for the Raps. Elite athleticism, floor general, speed, defense, finishes above he rim, winner at ever level, multi sport athlete.

He just needs to improve that 3 point shot a bit.

Yeah, likely they’re hoping to hype him up in a feeble attempt not to have their guy picked

I heard the Cavs turned down SGA and the 6th for the 3rd pick...now that's insane and probably not true

You don’t like Suggs?

I’m just saying teams usually do a smoke screen with who they’re after in a draft. Could go a few diff ways after #1

You gotta max SGA out though and they’re still not on the cusp with him, so I could see turning down even if it’s good deal at the face

Ah was thinking Pistons. Cave are such a s*** show whatever they do will be wrong move

It’s possible Suggs would be taken before #4, I’m sure they have things mapped out. I’m hopeful Green will fall, but unlikely.

Not too high on Mobley. I watched and rooted for Bosh for years, it’s not the best formula to bank your playoff hopes on a bigman that’s not a generational level talent. At least for an uber athletic scoring wing player you can kinda dream on it
