Maybe, but he's still a politician, so f*** him just for what he does.

His email just said "f*** You" I believe. I see nothing wrong with that.

It's not about the profanity. He's ESPN's top NBA reporter. By definition he should be pointing out the NBA's hypocrisy and asking the league the tough questions. At a bare minimum he should at least refrain from defending the league from any criticism it receives. Instead, he got offended that someone would dare criticize the NBA which means he's failed in his duties as a reporter and is instead a water carrying stooge for the NBA and China.

This is why the politicalization of every aspect of life, including sports, has been such a bad idea. Lebron (who laughably started a #FreeWoj trend instead of a #FreeHongKong one), Woj, and all the other woke athletes out there are complete and total hypocrites. The Michael Jordan approach is much better because I don't really give a s*** when he doesn't speak out against China because he doesn't speak out against anything, he keeps his politics to himself.

I’m curious to see what happens to NBA viewership and interest the next few months. They are by far the most obnoxiously woke sports league on the planet, and in having that distinction, they are prone to come off as hypocrites because at the end of the day they are a business looking to make money. That’s why they bent over for China. They have a billion dollar business over there. I have yet to see any correlation between social justice and increase in business/fan interest. The NBA is a test for that. I’ve lost interest in the NBA partly because of that. I don’t care about politics so to have it shoved in my face everyday is enough for me to move on as a viewer.

I think it has marginalized fan interest in the NBA to some degree in the US. I'm sure China has picked up the slack.

But everything has gone woke in recent years. I don't think the NBA (who has probably taken it further than most others) or most of these other company's feel they have a choice right now and they might be right. The left went from kill the corporations during Occupy Wall Street to Political Corporatization in the matter of a handful of years. Nike knew what they were doing when they signed Kaepernick. I mean hell, Kaepernick a couple of weeks ago made two tweets in a row that highlight where we're at right now. The first was him calling the 4th of July a celebration of White Supremacy and the 2nd was that he just signed a deal to make a docuseries for Disney lol.

Yeah, I was a fringe watcher to start with but I'm just going to skip it altogether. Too obnoxious.

That said I know this board actually has taken some steps to de-politicalize which I am in support of so I'll just leave it at that.

It's hard to not talk politics with sports because politics has been shoved into literally everything since that f***ing moron Derek Chauvin decided it was a good idea to plant his knee in a guy's neck for 9 minutes. Watching the MLB draft, #BlackLivesMatter all over the goddamn place.

I don't care what sports teams political views are. I watch sports for sports.

I’m frankly shocked you think Chauvin did anything wrong.

Because I'm a huge racist? Lol get your head out of your ass.

I don’t think you’re a racist, you married a brown chick. I just think you’re a contrarian who likes to dabble in alt-right propaganda.

If this is about the Rayshard Brooks thing, every sane person agrees that shooting was justified. I'm not getting into it but if you think that's "alt right propaganda" maybe get your head checked.

“Every sane person believes” is the hallmark of a convincing argument. Right up there with “it just is.”

Ok. A suspect stole what is classified in Georgia as a deadly weapon, overpowered police, used this weapon on one of them and fired it at another one while running and while being told to stop under the threat of being shot. This advice was disregarded with a predictable result.

Case closed, justified under law. The officer's indictment will be laughed out of court and the city will be successfully sued for wrongful termination. Not a single police officer thinks it wasn't justified use of force. I'm sorry the world doesn't work the way you want it to.

Raptors remaining schedule goes from one of the easier ones to one of the harder ones. But it's more than a fair trade-off to reduce the number of games from 18 to 8 when they're up by 3 against Boston.

As far as the politics of the NBA or whatever, I don't agree with them but I don't care. This Raptors team is a pleasure to watch and follow and I will continue to do so. These guys aren't big mouths like the rest of the league and when there is political activism, it's the type of activism I can get on board with like Ujiri and Ibaka regarding Africa.

Nice win for the Raps.

Norm looking like old Norm on some of those forced drives to the rim.

Old good Norm or old bad Norm or less old good Norm? There are a lot of old norms at this point...

I thought he had a pretty bad game tonight. Back to some habits of forcing things that weren't there. He's been great this season for the most part.

I hear this all the time from people saying they don't political views injected into sports when in reality what they mean is they don't want the political views they disagree with injected into sports

2nd in the East is close to locked up which is important. The difference between playing Orlando/Brooklyn in the first round and possibly the Sixers is huge.
