Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Season suspended until further notice Didn't the Raptors just play the Jazz? Not good...
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Baseball is screwed... How can they justify playing with 50,000 seat stadiums.. if the NBA canx... I hope they play with empty stadiums before canceling.. Wonder if ST will be suspended... f***..
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 The rest of the League's are next.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Yeah, no way MLB is going to be able to start the season. Best case is empty stadium games being played until things die down, but if even one player has it, then they'll have to follow the NBA's lead. This virus is going to f*** up the economy for a while.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 There may be a silver lining to this. The standings line up absolutely perfectly for the Raptors imo. Facing the Nets as the #2 seed with Boston and Philly being in the Raptors' bracket. I like that matchup because I think the 76ers can knock off the Celtics in a hard fought series and the Raptors match up well against them. Don't need another 18 games to potentially screw up that perfect order. I can envision that they cancel the rest of the regular season and start the playoffs in six weeks or so when this all dies down.

Youre looking at June or July and an 80 game season
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Kevin Durant tested positive for la Corona..
Beans Verified Member Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 He and the rest of the Nets were "tested by a private company, and the team paid out of pocked" (per ESPN). And the NYT is reporting that the Thunder got their test kits through "alternative" means. Meanwhile federal guidelines still prioritize testing for people who are showing symptoms, so to see NBA teams so easily get test kits—with testing capacity ramping up and the CDC still encouraging the most efficient use of what little tests they have—is not a good look right now, not for the NBA or the public health system.

Nothing new. Money and Status trumps everything...always has. How do they get MRI's and get booked for surgery so quickly? Money and Status.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 His email just said "f*** You" I believe. I see nothing wrong with that.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 His email just said "f*** You" I believe. I see nothing wrong with that. I mean, he sent it from his company email address. If they have a policy against that, then they had to do something since the email was brought to light publicly. Woj will be back like nothing happened after his suspension. He's got a huge following and ESPN isn't going to let him go.

Sending it from his ESPN account was a bad decision, but sending a hardy 'f*** You' to a Senator from your own personal Gmail account should be allowed and in many cases, warranted.

Sending it from his ESPN account was a bad decision, but sending a hardy 'f*** You' to a Senator from your own personal Gmail account should be allowed and in many cases, warranted. The senator, afaik, was just pointing out the NBA's hypocrisy. They allow social justice stuff on the back of the jersey, but if you tried to order a jersey that said "Free Hong Kong" it wouldn't let you. The NBA is a vassal to China. A "f*** you" in response to that was completely unwarranted.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 The suspension is lame, but at least it shows that ESPN is trying to be pussy ass bitches to both the SJW and the uptight conservative crowd.
